Played a bit and some of it just get annoying. It's clear level 2 is ideal with the split shot. Would be better if we just started with all 3 shots the upgrades were just upgrades.
Walls not instantly killing would be nice as well. Some areas can kill, but having all of them kill is just annoying as the ship moves with the screen and some ares are very tight where getting through is almost a matter of luck, rather than skill. Perhaps adding a collision HP bar would help, where the ship takes damage for being on things. So hitting a wall might not be too bad, but dragging along that wall will quickly kill the ship. It would be nice if the split shot's spread could be adjusted by how far away the cursor is from the ship. Not a big deal though. Saw blade seems too short to be worth the risk. Also moves very slow. Unless there is a target that will run into it, itself, I don't find much value in it.
Top comments overall tell everything. Upgrades are boring gameplay wise. Gameplay itself can be boring as levels tend to just get longer. There isn't much of an actual challenge since all you do is run in a circle. Can tell it gets back when I somehow bug out the 3rd arena causes double enemies to spawn and find it funner than anything else. Given I failed it from being overwhelmed, but I enjoyed it more having to manage everything just right to last as long as I could. Gun really needs more upgrades. Levels get far too long later on. I'm missing one star from the last non-boss stage since I can't seem to not step in the lava somehow. It's just too long to do it again. I get bored and stop caring before the first wave is over. The gameplay is very smooth. I maybe saw two bugs. Everything else is great, other than maybe the self advertising. Make the upgrades more fun and make the levels more than just longer fights and you'll have a great game.
I've got 4 hardmode only items. Is that all there is? I can't seem to find anymore. And there's a heart above one of the triangles in hardmode. It's very out of range. I've found you hide some things that get teleported in on the map elsewhere. I don't think this is the same. Just can't.. get to it...
Mages: spread thin with a focus in one spot so you can abuse your laser. Max damage, defense second. Spearmen: focus on bombs, spread evenly. Max push, damage second. Don't cast on them often. Knight: Spread how you want, casting on them returns a lot of mana. Can use a full line to push or one concentrated group. Max defense, push second.
An idea to help with high population games, set it so at 1000, every worker counts as 10x souls. For every extra zero added, add another to the souls. 10k population = 100x per soul.
Love it. So glad to finally see a second one and most of all see that it comes with the same quality. Well worth the wait. Just need to get into the habit of using Bullet Time in score mode. Trained myself to not "need" it. Because I'd hate to get use to it then run out when I really do need it. Time to bang my head on the desk.
Game is acting very funny. The action freezes but the UI continues to work. Spells are able to chain cast. Not sure what's up with it. I can see myself producing gold and mana, enemy making troops. Nothing else. Has happened a couple of times now. Sometimes fixing itself. Right now Grand Transformation is chain casting from one push. Can't even use the UI right now.
Controls are a little annoying. Not the key layout, I'm OK with that. But I'd like to move or at least face the other way when I push a different direction key. Coins are annoying. I'd rather get payed by score.
Only thing that annoyed me was the way the music changes when you change elements/characters. If you can find a way to keep the background music playing and add the changes for elements it'll make it feel much more fluid.
