I've been trying to find the way to get the quickest win. There are a lot of decisions to consider even though the game itself is simple. My best so far is 2yrs 6 mos.
finished all the maps and got a top 50 high score so i guess im done with this game. I got the high score doing field of drained dreams using only scoremaster archers. I think the earely waves could have possibly been a bit better but still, no drians and everything past about wave 10 killed by a scoremaster wielding bowman. Hard for me to see how it could be much higher. If anyone finds a better way let me know!
Yeah once you get wizardbow its really ridiculous.i dont do the 8x gold thing although its clever for sure, but once you have like 6 or 8 wizard bow guys you end maps with undreds of lives...
well habbit. I'm not going to spill all the beans. But Nerdook is kind of famous for making games that are really easy to play but take some high level thinking to beat. There are a couple of classes that have really nice abilities much better than others. once you find those, optimize the weapon and you'll have a winner. Not everything you try will work as well as you'd think but thats half the fun.
/agree with most people, we were expecting more content. How about more races, female characters, a 'hell mode' type thing when you get through conquering the world, MORE types of weapons and armor as opposed to less, bigger world instead of smaller and the list goes on and on. It really feels like this is a regression from the second game. giving it 4 stars but expect more in the future.
I love the first half of this game. Its all about making the girl wash some dude's clothes and clean up a filthy outhouse.
much more realistic than games with chicks runnnig around shooting guns, driving, and ordering men around. 5/5
yeah this game has a good idea but some serious flaws balancewise. to make the idea of 'dying to improve' valiad the difficulty needs to ramp up at a faster pace, i played one game as paladin. died on floor 32 mostly of bredom. leveld a vamp and had the same experience of everyone else who leveld a vamp. its just too easy.
not seeing anyone ask this so the answer must be obvious... how to get 3 starts on levels where rocks make it impossible to get relics and skulls in the same round?
ok here is how this game works.... When you hire guys, hire one with the highest possible str or magic. Thats the only guy thats gonna fight. the rest get guys with a lot of AP. Get your own guy to rogue asap so you can add AP. always carry around chili pepper and when you get to a hard fight give one to your offensive guy. once you get the dragon sword go fighter then warrior and have the rest of your party max AP. stupid game
I'd settle for a list of prices and specs on all weapons (Why should I want the next higher level gun? Is there ever a reason I might want to switch down for some reason (extra range but lower damage better fire rate ect.) kind of nit-picky though. this game is awesome.
Yes the Tauntcannon strategy is certainly the best. I put all the initail points into charisma then divided the rest 2/2 cha/vit and by the end I had a gross amount of hitpoints and armor and was doing over 100 per hit with taunt. I tried other ways of building a character and its pretty near impossible to beat the first tournament. Based on that I'd say this game is really poorly designed. Not woth paying for.
Pretty one dimensional game. The only stat to raise that means anythig is vitality. Each point of vitality gives a good amount of life and increases regeneration. I beat this demo using a max height max weight character with axes for the weapon. I could have probably gotten a little more out of swords but considering I made it to the last fight in the demo (4th boss) with a record of like 80+ wins vs no losses, I think I did fine. yes it took three tries to beat the last boss spoiling my perfect record but whatever. I put 3 into strength before I realized it was total crap and the rest into vit. All my skill points were spent in the damage tree with max axes, max polearms maxe 2-h damage and i think at the end a few in swords. Pretty much just bought the best 2h-weapons and armor possible for my level, farmed the guys in the regular arena until I had the max level for that stage, then farmed them more until I had perfect equipment.
Relics will give you more experience at the end of a level but aren't required for a 3 star rating.
