Think progression is just supposed to be slow. Mostly cuz drop chance is low and the die roll is not in your favor. I think it just rolls from 1 to max, like I just had a max 200 roll give me 26 grass from the leader. @Azreal43
I'm not too far in but 1 thing I'm seeing already is that its optimal to stagger pin attacks. So if you have 2 of the same pin you'll want 1 to be half full when the other attacks for optimal attack rhythm during fights. But its really tedious to set up, any way we could get that automated as a 'combat stance' or something? With another stance to sync up their attacks. Would be great to have!
Curing sheds are bugged. Previously I had all storage mixed with storage pits. Getting curing sheds split my food storage and made it no longer work with some previous buffs so I lost nearly 50% food storage. It also unlocked ore? Somehow? Confusing..
Kind of needs some way to know what skills lead to what. I only have 2 skill points but I need to guess which skill leads to "Nature" since my Falconer class summon runs off of Nature. Better yet, give access to Nature immediately to Falconers since its so integral for them..
Dungeon fighting order doesn't seem to work correctly. Its just setting messing up autobattle and I can't change the order at all.. Would be fine but the reset order button doesn't work either..
Seems like noone I play uses squadrons or understands them. Squadrons are really strong, boosting stats by their formation and you can overlap them with your units so theres no reason not to use your starting squadron. Seems like squadrons need to be explained better in game!
Stuck with it for a while. Seems doable without paying. Biggest thing to get started is to get as many capacitors as possible. This is all that matters. Build 3 or 4 simple reactors that are as small as you can make them to save space. You'll need a few outlets around vents because wasteheat quickly becomes an issue. Then just afk for around 2 to 3 hours. Around 1 hour is the minimum but having a bank is preferable imo. You need to get the perpetual Uranium (and later Plutonium staff) so just reset if the game trolls you. After that you need to burn 30 Plutonium cells so just set up a few 2 cell Plutonium reactors to get it and you'll unlock the advanced reactors either here or at the next quest. You'll also get the capacitor upgrade which makes manually selling actually work so active play is now viable. Just grind until you have enough t2 capacitors to sell everything and congratulations! You can finally play the game like how the first game let you play from the getgo.
The game should be beatable without paying, but you'll have to ascend (relocate to new factory) to get more free boxes. Others mention upgrading 6 staff. Basically compared to the first, this just has annoying quest treadmill gate and ascension is mostly to get free boxes. It has cool heat mechanics added in and I honestly wish they had just updated the first game with these mechanical changes instead. There are some interesting staff abilities, but for the most part these are pointless with clever reactor design. If you get lucky you might be able to get certain staff combos that let you build unique reactor designs, but theres so much luck involved with staff that it may as well not be in the game. Practically, staff only exist to gate perpetual upgrades to their box system/ pay store. The pay store is basically pay to ascend, which is both pointless (I mean I play idles to idle) and implemented in such a way that at first glance it looks like forced pay to win.
Takes way too long to get power selling upgrades. I have been sitting at max power capacity unable to sell, with my reactor chalked full of basic capacitors for over an hour. It doesn't take to long to hit your cap and capacitors only sell 2. I'm making thousands of power and can only sell it 2 by 2. Please unlock advanced capacitors earlier like in the first game!
Or not. The game was running super slow for some reason. Tried it again just now and the play speed was ok. Not sure why but last time this was playing at a turtle's crawl.
Isn't this literally just a repost of Idle Sword 1 with excrutiatingly slow gamespeed, a tutorial and a little bit of polish? I'd much rather go beat Idle Sword 1 again. That plays at least 10x faster.
Am I the only one that finds the early game takes way too long in these kind of games? Takes like a full 2 hours of grinding just to get to the game (others are worse though). Really think the early levels of skills could be buffed a little so that its not so much of a grind just to start playing.
Survived 40 waves. Would have reached 41 but I died to the last soldier. Later waves are fairly hard to beat, ended up cheesing by using timewarp + both my spells so that I could skip waves to refresh my spells. Gives a ton of gold in the process without losing food time.
Also I want to mention that I never spammed units like other people mentioned before this. If you upgrade the current tier unit twice on HP, Damage, attack speed and stamina (once on everything else) you can clear waves without losing anything. Its maybe not as cost effective but spamming basic units takes forever.
Isn't true resito. If you scroll down you can upgrade every stat. Get maxed out swordsmen and maxed out dojo and you literally cannot lose. Game becomes a spam click on 1x speed simulator because your troops will die in droves but I cannot run out of money faster than I am buying swordsmen. Really need more upgrades at some point. Currently sitting on 2mil gold @wave 46.
Would like structures to receive baseline regen. Spending nearly 30 points to remove some tedium from replacing structures is not worth it at all. Structures that survive should regen at least 1/4th HP by the time next wave rolls around. Those that invest 30 points for regen should noticiably regen to increase structures survivability. Most of the time, structures are kills within seconds so any regen needs to be strong to have an impact! Also: Make a button to rebuild all structures destroyed. Later waves require you to burn walls to layer your defense. Also: Make a repair button. It should only work outside of an attack, have it cost roughly half what it takes to destroy the building and replace it. Make a repair all button too. Make the repairs take around 5 to 10 seconds for visual effect. QoL is all this game needs to be really fun! With some more content this could easily be a full release on Steam imho.
Not being able to choose my cards is a deal breaker. When you grind 2k ashes and get *deal 4 damage* forced into your deck, it just ruins my curve for no reason. If I could replace my other damage card it would be fine, but fat decks just aren't fun to play with in CCGs.
Fairly fun game with some neat ideas. The cost of new tiles seems to be a bit much. It simply takes forever to start seeing the real content of the game, most idle games let you progress quickly at the start so that you know what to expect.
Actually looks like there is a ¿game feature? that end up syncing all Pins attacks that have the same attack speed >.<
