I walked into the first bit of water where I had to wait for the ice, waited for 200 years expecting the other side to get eroded enough to walk up. This is why no one relies on me for time sensitive tasks.
@phugedaboudet: I chose Walsh (probably works, maybe better, with any other hero that can spam the mass damage spells) and just turtled while killing his armies with spells.
One of the big things, in my opinion, that sets superb twitch games apart from decent twitch games (or games that could be twitch games, if this was improved) is clear distinction between elements of the game. The only drawback of note with this game, I feel, is that things blend together too easily. With the 10,000gc gun spamming the screen with the same color as most (all?) of the enemy bullets, it can be difficult to dodge while shooting. Different colors would be an easy way to improve it.
I love the concept of the shielded enemies. You should develop it further! Too many of these game (and most of this game) rewards mindless shooting. Those things add a tidbit of tactic to it.
Going through bubbles without killing everything in them builds up unbearable lag fairly quickly. :: After coming back to the game when badges were added, I realized I had beat the game and quit at 49 bubbles explored out of 50. In an attempt at quickly getting the badge I restored my previous ship (the venerable Enterprise) and remade it tiny with a teleporter, stunner, and two whips for speed, survivability, and giggles. After reexploring the 49 I already had, plus the 50th it took 10 seconds for my Bubble Jumper to respond after entering a new bubble and the general performance of the game was horrid. Personally, I wouldn't mind if progress in a bubble was reset if you didn't kill everything before leaving.
When you upgrade your energy, you are in fact also upgrading the recharge rate as the recharge rate seems to be a percentage of the maximum per second, rather than a flat amount of energy per second.
5 for devotion to the game and effort. For the sequel, I strongly recommend focusing heavily on new playable content. Number of items means nothing if many of them aren't fresh and fun instead of upgraded versions of other items. I loved the two (only seen two types so far) bonus rounds, I looked forward to seeing more but was sad when I just saw the same two over again. Good start, more stuff!
