Quite a novel idea. I like that so much of the game's design keeps coming back to your theme, you have some good choices of music, and the message, while simple, is one always worth repeating. The game system itself is good, while the RNG has a say in things, unlike some other games on this site the player has plenty of ways to retake control of the fight after a bad draw.
Very nice all in all, I would love to see more of this.
Thank you. The current game selection reflects mainly my own gaming experience, and I played not many RPGs. But I'll try to compose the RPG-based questions for the sequel.
This is a rare one, a fairly developed story with a nice twist, and humor enough to keep the grinding from getting dull. All of the references to other flash games were very nice, and I had to laugh the first time I saw a customer say "Things are going according to plan , muhahahahaha". I was then told I had been visited by Trollface.
@Plixus - I realized that the max energy was increasing, but the energy cost for the battles were increasing faster. I'm not even half-way to your level, so my assessment may have been lacking in information. Do the cost of battles stop growing? If so then I am mistaken in my judgement. It would still irk anyone who merely trying out the game though.
All right, I've been playing this for a couple of days now, and after seeing all of these arguementative comments I have throw in my thoughts. From the other TCGs on the site that I've played this is definetly one of the better ones gameplay-wise, it has a fairly good story (from what I've seen anyway), and one doesn't neccesarilly have to pay for things. But the energy bar is a plague for TCGs, it keeps me coming back, true, but waiting a few hours to play for ~15-20 minutes makes the game seem like a frustrating grinder. It's not as frustrating as Tyrant, because the battles themselves are very good, but having to stop as I'm getting into the game is silly.
Very good. The art style and the choice of music kept me playing despite the fact that I don't like hidden object games. Usually. I'll have to start saying that now.
HAH! NICE! "Usually. I'll have to start saying that now."
Yes! I am not a fan of Hidden Object Games as well. It was my mission to make people see past "Hidden Object Game". I am pleased the responses.
To "Paanoik"
If you look in the OPTIONS part of the in-game menu, you would find that there is an option for QWERTZ compatatablility.
If you give a bad rating for that, you shouldn't rate any game, period.
Good at every angle. The story, while a little hard to swallow and rather fast-paced, is more than enough to keep the player engaged. The gameplay is balanced and at a decent curve (if one has good reflexes) all the way through. But I do have to ask, why is the only character without supernatural powers/knowledge the strongest character? Can't wait for another!
@Xserenz
My problem isn't simply that I never have anything to play, it's that my hand is almost always of one kind or things I can't use, killing all strategy options but to try and hold off until I get better cards. This does work to some extent, thereby proving my deck isn't the problem. If you look at my first post, my true complaint was that the CPU NEVER has this happen. I haven't seen a single game where the CPU started with only two cards, and it frequently deploy three energy collectors and a ship. If it wasn't for that fact, I would account all my losses to my bad luck. I still agree with my first post, this is the best TCG game I've ever played. (P.S. anyone else, please don't rate these down because you don't know what I'm talking about.)
@ Xserenz
Yes, that's what I've heard, which is why I specifically stated "I know it's not my deck because I've looked into it extensively to see if that was my problem". I worked hard to make a balanced deck, and when my hand reflects it I win hands down. 3/8 energy collectors, 2/8 small ships, 2/8 large ships, and 1/8 actions (which include permanent energy bonuses). I you can think of a better balance, by all means please prove me wrong!
After playing this game for a while, I am amazed at how often I am defeated due to the way the cards play out. The CPU almost always can play three or four energy collectors the first turn, and the second they will as many ships (or their legend ship). I consider lucky when I'm able to field two energy collectors and deploy one ship a turn. The CPU follows this flawless opener by always having the right card for the situation, while I (or any other unlucky player) keep ending up with a hand of cards that are too weak or too expensive. I know it's not my deck because I've looked into it extensively to see if that was my problem. It's as if the game is rigged for the CPU. I know that is a serious accusation and an insult to the programmer but I can think of no other explantion.
Thank you!
