You shouldn't base your game rating on badges not working... I'm not sure that's the game creator's fault. you can lower the volume w/ minus key (-). Just base your rating on whether or not you enjoyed the game... I like the game, eve though the badges aren't working for me either. :-\
I agree with moonskin... and i don't see why it is so upsetting...you can play as Jesus & kick satan's ass. isn't that a good thing? i was raised catholic, and i think this game is hysterical. hasn't glitched on me yet, and i'm nearing completion of the first hard badge
I don't know if anyone has posted about this yet, but if you want to start your run with an underwater boost, start the game, find the boost you want to have at the beginning of your next run (don't use it) and restart. It'll restart you exactly where your last game left off. At least, that's what it does for me.
