Loved this game - most impossible badges make me rage at some point but this one didn't! Those untenable situations that pop up so often in games like this are surprisingly rare here, very nicely done.
TIPS: In levels where the balls are tethered, chase down red beams and let the blue ones come to you, and get in the habit of always moving the mouse in a circular motion. In Icy Hot I doubled my scores when I started saying the colours I was going for out loud. In "orbit" in dark, Think of it like chroma-zones - hit blues in top left, reds in bottom right. If the beams get close, wait in the opposite corner height-wise (so for a blue beam, wait in the bottom-left, then move to top-left). Striped and Wall Ball are all about not getting overwhelmed - chase down beams early. In Chromatic Swap dark, I scored more by only using front ball. Finally, when you get all your three stars you may be up to 900 points behind - don't worry! You'll be surprised at how quickly you rise.
UI needs some work - the "Return to Town" button should be in the same place on each screen, I shouldn't have to search for it every time I use a different menu. Also, there are times when the button is disabled, but no visual change has been made to it (eg when another menu is open). Either have the extra menus open on top of it or fade/darken/completely remove it until I close the menu on top. Finally, I don't know about anyone else, but playing this really starts to hurt my eyes after about half an hour, the colour choices make it quite a strain.
Wonderful game! The flow of everything feels very natural, the music and sound design are on point... but that pentagon being upside down in level 6 made me sad :( still, 5/5.
Well made game, but the sound design could use some serious work. The 'best height' sound completely clashes with the music, for example (I know this isn't technically sound design because the same sound is in many games, but there is a wide choice out there).
Something should probably be done about the fact that if a sawblade spawns on you, it's impossible to move anywhere else until the platform you're on has been lowered enough. If you're far into the game this takes quite a while!
Innovative, played from start to finish without stopping (I NEVER do this). Only problem I had was latency on the tv screen level (11 I think?). After that I started to notice latency everywhere, but I may have been making that up... 4/5
Simple, addictive, frustrating... All things I look for in a game, love this. Also I agree with top comment, showing what we've done at the end would be awesome.
I think the "maximum booster" award is bugged. I received it finishing a race while actually using boost (had about 1/10th left). I didn't use it at all for the first lap, mind.
The fast forward button was probably the thing people asked for most in the first game, so I'm disappointed that it isn't here. These are two really addictive games and the concept is great, there's just no need to sit through it once you've set a level up. I feel a tool for straight lines would cheapen things a little, but the speed up button is ESSENTIAL. Everything else is there.
Music really reminds me of Final Fantasy, and so does the gameplay, to an extent xD two complaints: The voice acting leaves much to be desired (unless that's what you were going for, but really?) and the final boss(es) is/are really anti-climatic. No challenge at all compared to others where there was actually some strategy involved.
I have a stress-related anxiety condition which makes me feel violently sick for large portions of each day. This game is the most relaxing thing I have done in years and helps loads for some reason. Is there anywhere I can get the music that's in this? I'm willing to pay. Was it composed specifically for the game? Did you create it? If so can I shake your hand?
Got really interesting around the middle, but I think the ending was too short. I definitely wouldn't have minded if it had been stretched out a little more, I felt there wasn't really enough suspense.
