I really hate it when games make me go through hoops to even reach the options menu - why do you think I want to play the localized version instead of the English one? :(
So I just got to level 8 in the "The New World" event. Amount of blueprints/packs earned from the event: 0. Usually I get about 3 of the event packs and 2 or 3 blueprints directly. Pretty frustrating. (Even when I get event packs, opening them is another exercise in frustration...) :/
At path 4202 now, level 4107. Progressing at glacial speeds. Getting money for 1 craft, XP for the next level etc. takes days. Unlocked relics, only to find the relic shards are rare enough to not make any difference whatsoever. Guess I'm leaving now.
I finally managed to get the "Powerful red" achievement: Use H3-D3-B5-E5-T4-S4 (so focus on Power/Energy/Turbo) and hold the Turbo button down. Try to avoid fireballs and aim for Speed powerups. With the Power and Energy technologies at approx. 400% you should barely be able to reach 500m by 30s. And then (hopefully) enjoy your Candy Drill! (That thing is a beast! More than twice the resistances the Lava Infiltrator offers...)
Wow, that was the hardest "Easy" badge I ever managed to get: Game virtually unplayable on Firefox, so I completed it on Chrome. For whatever reasons the Kong chat did not connect on Chrome so I copied the savegame back to Firefox and completed the last level again (luckily requires only one click...).
Dear Kajenx, please explain to me on the example of level 18 how this game is not considerably luck-based. To win this level, I need to set up spells, which is nigh-impossible when starting out. So I waste 5 or more moves trying to set up a spell that is able to clear one or more blocks. During these moves I only gain an insignificant amount of points due to the lacking multiplier. If I somehow manage to break the blocks, I'm out of moves before being even close to reaching 7500 points. If you still insist on this game being largely strategical rather than luck-based then I'll respond that you most likely failed to convey the necessary skills/strategies to the player. (And yes, I've restarted level 18 about 30-50 times now and I'm still stuck on it)
Level 18 is one example where getting a spell in the very beginning will make a difference. It's not as big a difference as you'd think, though. Once you get one block cleared, you can get rid of the rest pretty quickly and rack up a good multiplier in order to make some big scores at the end of the level. I just got two stars in my first attempt with three moves left, was 50 points away from 1 star on my second attempt (took me a bit to get going), and got 2 stars with 8 moves left on my third try. That isn't luck. Here on Kong you can even cheat a bit and restart until you get a spell on the opening board if you want. That should make it easy for you to pass this level at least.
So here's a little hint that'll solve all your money problems: Equip a pirate sword when fighting a boss. You'll get about 70k money after the fight. Just make sure you hit him with the sword at least once.
