The tale of a tail
[In response to Haiku Tails]
Once upon a time,
In a far distant land,
There lived a little frog
He was very grand
He had a warty body
A big and funny face
He had a long tongue
Which he moved with grace
But oddest of all
Was his long strange tail
It was slippery as a slime
And yet hard as a nail
It always made him trip
Which made all smile
It scattered his poop (yuck)
Instead of a neat pile
The frog hated his tail
He pulled and twisted it
But oh! The naughty tail
It just wouldn’t sit!
How tired was the frog,
When it slapped him back
When he tried to fight it
IT beat him blue and back!
The frog now angry, got a plan
He went to the water, blue
In the water lived a crocodile,
Not lying, honest. It was true.
He dipped the tail in the water,
The croc, he said “Yum! lunch!”
He swam over to the tail
And gave it a great big munch
So since that day the froggy frog
Has a tail when it is small
Yet it oddly disappears,
As it grows big and tall
Now you know the secret (it is!)
So be very very shhh! you know!
Just think of froggy’s shame
If all know he does so :P
