The first levels seem to guide the player using power-ups but it doesn't really teach the player anything except how the power-ups work, which is usually rather important in these kind of games. In this game however, I made it to level 6 without any problems and any serious thought, the power up advancing me at a considerably rapid pace.
It might be a good idea to tone down the effectiveness of the power-ups or increase the score required for advance.
All in all the game didn't feel challenging or engaging, I could set it down at anytime and I can't give that sort of experience a good rating.
Cons:
The hit box is much larger than the player ship and seemingly in front of the ship itself.
MULTIPLE boss ships that all add to the same health bar
Pros:
The health shield works well
The BG is not an object for the player, so you can move any where
There is a plot
Suggestions:
-Make the 'AVATAR' Name Placeholder more obvious. I am now stuck with the name Avatar, until I amass a whopping 10k, because I did not recognize this as a text entry field.
-Check for font sizing. The size of the font makes it difficult to see exactly what the items do, sure I can tell that A is better than B, but I'd rather not read the closetogehter lettering because it's just so close. Yeah.
- Lastly, for the sake of the players, please extend the time of the text boxes. I can read them because I had to skim for my 12th grade final. I still don't know what the bosses are saying, but I understand that my bones in their bread is not so fun for me.
Please and thank you.
SO, I suddenly realised, after we say the #112 at the end, we REALLY should have gone to the locker. XD But that's cool. Anyway, this was a cute game, there should be an expansion to it so we can do more with or for this love couple, like a prequel? Or an alternate universe where oyu have to do the same, but with challenges or chats. 5/5
