What really irks me is the fact that enemies can shoot through objects... why can't we have the luxury of using the objects as cover? Just make it so we can't kill them if there's something between us and the enemy.
Oh fun, a hard badge that has no indication of how much time and effort you need to put in to get it. Game gets boring after a bit and not really worth getting only 30 points for.
I hate Idle game developers that don't make their game run when it's not tabbed. I shouldn't have to move it to a new window in order for it to run. I've even played some bad idle games that don't even run when in a new window.
What's the point of transcending if monsters don't drop items again? They sparsely dropped the very first run through, then nothing after I transcended? Does the bonus have an adverse effect on item drop rate?
Only monsters near max level and beyond will drop new items. Transcending will allow you to get more EXP to push you to further levels. Further levels will in turn give you more SP's SSP's better looted gear.
I liked this game. Simple and not too difficult. I like that some of the levels don't require you to use everything, so it throws you off a little bit. I'd like to see a sequel with more complex mechanics in the future.
How did your game win the hearts of over 50,000 players? I assume only 50,000 people played it, and you paid the app store to give it a good review so the players would try it? I already see one comment that was clearly paid or someone on your team.
Hi, Lustre! It's Yaroslav from HeroCraft.
No, actually we didn't ask anyone to comment us positively. Neither players nor colleagues. The line about 50,000 players is about Steam, we've been released there for quite a while now and Tempest is one of our top-performing games on that platform. We know about several problems with this version of the game, modified specifically for Kongregate, like the long loading time. We're already looking into them. Can you specify what exactly you didn't like?
Other players can also fight and defeat you causing your scores to go down. Bus as I can see you did lose a PVP math a while ago and went down from 322 to 305 PVP points. So works as intended. Thanks for the rating!
I like reading comments on new games. There is always that group of kids who haven't played many games in their life, so when they come across something they haven't seen before, they automatically assume that developer was the first and praise them for coming up with something so awesome. It's a good game, and definitely makes you think a different way than you normally would with this style of puzzle. Definitely nothing new to gaming, though.
In this particular case, it is a clone from a 9-year-old game called Not to Scale, here on Kongregate. But I would argue that the idea was really original at the time, and I don't understand why no one copied before. So in a way, I don't think they are wrong, the only thing is that the initial idea was not mine, so these praises should be going to someone else. I do take a little credit for ressurecting the idea, though.
I don't know what you changed, but offline gains have decreased significantly. I sleep for the night, and come back to the game only able to buy 1-3 upgrades. Before I was able to buy a bunch more.
It looks better than your previous game, but it's still just a really simple idle game. Needs some unique mechanics or it's just going to fade out of common knowledge quickly.
it has offline progress, otherwise keep it in a separate window
