"The first football game that" copies half its features from www.kongregate.com/games/siread/new-star-soccer? Nothing wrong with being inspired, but don't come across like you invented the concept.
It'd be nice if it auto-saved when you entered a battle. I spent several minutes building out a new strategy and arranging my units, and when I lost, I was back to my previous build. Also, I can't tell when I can buy more units. Sometimes it gives me the option to buy units for cash, sometimes it says I'm full and can't buy any more.
I added auto save after exiting formation editor. You can click on the blue unit limit display to figure how much gold you need to upgrade your unit limit. Thanks for the feedback.
@Jesster_King The spelling was straight from my art department/child labor team, so I decided to keep it intentionally. Arrows as a control option is already in place. Thanks for the comments!
I have no idea why, but this is the game I've played through to completion more times than any on Kong. I love being able to set things in motion and sit back to watch the carnage.
Err...I'd have faith that the system's working, and rate it the way you actually intend. :P
One more update and I think I'm going to call this puppy feature-complete!
I've had several games end when the advancement of waves freezes. i can still run around, shoot, upgrade guns, but the bar at the bottom stops moving, and the next wave never comes.
Anybody else getting this? Any workaround? i haven't been able to finish a map because of this.
If you don't like switching towers, you can just buy drone towers, and make the double machine gun your only 'controlled' gun. I just did that for the Kongregate Challenge, and set a high score (currently) of 67600.
OK, after beating the first map, some advice:
Throw your TD assumptions out the window. In this game more base level towers are better than fewer upgraded towers.
Fill all slots with towers before upgrading.
You can 'pave' squares to turn them into tower slots, but don't do that until all the slots are filled
Most of the 250g towers do damage that no mob is immune to or resists
I love teh animation. th eplane taking off and the approaching ground were very nice touches. Not a lot to the gameplay, but it does what it does very well.
It's not intuitive enough for my tastes. I couldn't tell what I was supposed to do in the first boss level. If you're going to have an innovative or unusual control scheme, you should provide the users with a clue as to how to use it.
I like it. I was stuck in an airport for 2 hours once, and played this game just about the whole time. There aren't too many decent flash driving games.
It's making it really frustrating getting that hard bag with th ebugs that will end your game. I've had long games end with falling through the floor, spontanious reloading of the intro (although I can still hear my game's sound) and just this last time, I was in the middle of Ultimate Survival when suddenly the screen flips me over the the practice room.......
"Don’t judge sync-yness. I think I know how to sync rhythm games by now."
If your customers don't think it's synced, then you have a problem regardless of if it's synced or not.
I added auto save after exiting formation editor. You can click on the blue unit limit display to figure how much gold you need to upgrade your unit limit. Thanks for the feedback.
