Play as Elves Unlocks at Level 9, so the Game is suggesting you Max out the skill tree of Humans in 8 levels.
This is hard to do if you beat each level only once and Speedrun Losing an early level to Unlock Bomberman without fighting.
But if you fight 3 replayed levels out long to win, you can have around 15-20 out of 25 Unlocked.
Level 6: the Orcs is hardest difficulty increase in the first 8 levels, and a good grinding level once you've beaten it and start having way more Upgrades than you went into it the first time with.

Warnings:
Level 4: Introduce Elves. Upgrade Tower and Unlock Hobbits, Bombermans, and Dwarves before trying.
Level 6: Introduce Orcs and Exploding Attacks. Squires, Knights, and Clerics no good, focus on Archers and Wizards. Need at least 7 Wizards to cross the Halfway zone to have good odds to win. Hold back at 3 or 4 to grind Experience points.
Level 8: Introduce Reinforcements when Enemy castle is heavily damaged, and Enemy starts unlocking most of its units throughout the level. Archers, Clerics, Knights, Catapults, and Crossbowmen insufficient compared to Wizards, Paladins, Trebuchets.
Also, if you didn't upgrade your Castle Research, you won't unlock Special Attacks. The first one is weak, but is still extra free damage the enemy doesn't get to use. Special Attacks and your Tower are the key advantages you have when the Enemy has many advanced units on the field at once, which they start getting at the end of every level.

TIPS: The Wendy House is a very annoying place to backtrack to. The first thing you should do is pick up the item there and then drop it in the House somewhere to pick up another item that you immediately use. Every Item gets used. The Slingshot is not a weapon. Every door gets opened.
You will never have to backtrack to your car. Your car is very far away. Don't waste time. The doghouse doesn't do anything.
The 5 Items that you show the Spirits don't open any doors.
Point noted regarding the Wendy House. Originally it was going to play a greater part, but I agree that it could actually be placed much closer to the house.
The Flashlight mechanic is what really makes this game great--- it adds tension and makes it harder for the player, making it more suspenseful and feels more like an exciting mystery to solve. Even though the actual mystery is about as easy as an episode of Scooby-Doo.
The Contestants have gotten side-tracked into accepting their kidnapper's game and playing Exit/Corners. While they might not have had very much of a choice about playing, they've forgotten to be suspicious of each other and try to figure out which one of them has to be Sent.
Put together the Baguette and Mayo from the Kitchen with the Leaves from the Foyer to make a Sandwich. Go to the Bedroom and pick up the Key from the Pillow to open the Cabinet to get the Halloween Costume to sneak back into the room with your crappy friends.
Give the Sandwich to Bas, then get the Key to the Chest to get the Candy Cane. Use the Candy Cane as a Crowbar to get the Cheese, then Cinnamon will give you a new Oven Knob in a Christmas Present.
There's a Claw Arm in the Bathroom to grab the Key to the Chest I think.
Upgrades Purchase order:
Week 1: 1 Fuel Tanks
Week 2: 2 Fuel Tanks
Week 3: 2 Drill Strength
Week 4: 1 Fuel Tanks, 1 Drill Strength, 1 Hull Strength.
If you start Week 5 with fewer than 4 Fuel Strengths and 4 Drill Strengths, you are probably behind though. Restart games if you have a bad first 5 Weeks until you have a really well Upgraded Drill to get deep enough to find Rubies and start spending weeks trying to get that Trophy.
the 100 coins and 15 treasures trophies aren't worth it guys.
spend as much of your early game money on fuel and hull as possible to get deep enough to reach rubies, and then try to get the ruby trophy. i have yet to see emeralds after making it all the way down to 2600, but perhaps by getting the ruby trophy early enough you can max out your drill earlier.
getting both the big diamond trophy and the 2600 feet trophy in the same game is probably the trick to getting 300,000.
my first time i got 14 big diamonds in one week max. also i don't think i used moles very well.
engine, hull, drill strength, moles.
the radar helps you a little bit but you have to buy steering as well to make it good, and steering is the worst. only put points into radar into steering if you can't buy anything else good.
if you luck into the 15 treasures trophy then that probably really helps too but seriously don't go out of your way for it, and the 100 coins trophy is the worst thing at all.
you can beat the final boss before level 15:
first use your first level up to buy frost and smite projectile. you now have 3 bullets.
then spend points in the fire tree to get the double and triple bullet fire spells. that will pick you up to 5 bullets.
then spend points in divine down to get the extra MP and HP Chosen One.
