SPOILER ALERT; RANT Oh, so he set a "local" status-update in what seems to be 1961 and it was twitter? It's not easy for me to admit this made more furious than it should have. Compared to the first part this game is really not far from the Monkey Island logic where you just end up combining each possible pair of items in your inventory.
By distributing the money to your army you increase it's potential size, but at the same time also the enemies' army efective size. That's crazy, just choose "take money" everytime guys.
nah nah, if I had activated x2 gold before the fight, and then I find an additional chest inside the level and draw x2 gold again, I expect x4 gold. 3/5 for making an addictive and difficult game with unrewarding flaws like that.
No, not knowing what the upgrades do gives the game a unique charm. All this game needs is something bypassing having to start from the beginning every time. It's not more rewarding when you repeated, and it's not less damaging, so it comes down to kind of developing skills, rather than upgrading (which you of course do as well), which this game doesn't allow much room for. There is no way of *learning* over time how to avoid damage.
Ok, I'm hooked. I also love the sandboxness of this sandbox game, so I'll rate it 5/5. But spending 25% of the screen on a crocodile that does NOTHING other than informing you that a new day has come, which at the same time is a non variable constant...
Took me a while: secret upgrades upgrade the speed of your vehicles by 5% or 10%. There are 4 upgrades on each level, 6x4=24, and this is also the number of the vehicles you own. It does not matter which car you are driving when collecting, it will upgrade the car that it is meant to.
Amazing sound, the game seems so complete. 5/5 from me, playable, challenging, long enough, and very relaxing that the bonus levels don't have the move count.
