Where to begin? When Epic War 3 came out I was disappointed. It wasn't Epic War anymore, there were no huge clashes of armies even after lots of upgrading. Now that I have played Epic Wars 5, 6, and Online though, I have changed my mind. Epic War 3 was great, because it added other things to the game. Take the spell caster units for instance. Each attack by a spell caster was huge and would affect a lot of units, but at less power. Visually and mechanically they were great. Now look at the Wizards in this game. They thrust their staff forward and summon... A tiny little gust of wind that looks like an orb, but hits three times the area they fill. It makes no sense and it looks like crap. The battlefields are tiny, the armies will clash within moments of spawning in and not because you were pushed back. The skills have no descriptions, and even the names of the skills are misleading. Fire Shield is less of a shield and more of a pillar of flame that lasts for all of a second.
I don't know what it is that is causing it, but this game seems to be very badly optimized. I keep getting lag spikes every few seconds and it's so bad that it has cost me levels. It's not my computer, as I do have a very good gaming computer, and it's not my internet, as no other game has lag spikes like this. The lag needs to be fixed.
I don't know if anyone has noticed but, this is an almost exact copy of King's Bounty for Windows DOS. Considering that the developer didn't say 'Inspired by King's Bounty' or hint at King's Bounty at all, I have to assume that this was a copy attempt.
I actually don't have a problem with the concept of dragging the screen with my mouse to change menus. It's no more challenging, tiring, or time consuming than moving the mouse to a button and pressing it. My problem is that I have more faith in my monster to not roll a 1 than I do myself. I understand the probability of getting to ten dice is low, and it's a good feeling to actually reach ten dice rolled but, it is an annoying process. You don't do enough damage to justify rolling anything below five dice, but you get so many 1s that getting to even five dice is ridiculous.
Hi Miyoko, you can increase your chance of not getting 1 through pvp rewards and using less risky dice. You can take a look at this following link for strategy of arranging dice: http://tinydicedungeon.wikia.com/wiki/Strategy . Let me know if you have any more questions, would be glad to help =D
Been looking forward to another Peacefree game! Loving it so far, though it hasn't changed too much. Glad it's become easier to start a task, and I'm loving the music!
Thanks Miyoko! I wanted to focus on the game mechanics first, so if you peeps like the new task/missions mechanics, I'll start working on adding new features like controllable units (not sure when I can finish that though).
For everyone commenting about transferable items, they made an enhanced version of Dungeon Defender on their main site. Here's the problem though: The development team is no longer working on it. They haven't made a game since 2010, and the enhanced version of Dungeon Defender DOES NOT work. This is the best you're going to get, so just have fun with it.
So, I lose two guards from a random assault whn there was 0% danger. Then I lose a five person scavenge team on a mission with 0% danger. How does that make sense? Is this like Civilization 4 where there is a .01%chance to lose any and all fights and that .01% chance will come up 25% of the time?
With the Pulse Gun, if you're only shooting once every three seconds with a 900 reload (This after several upgrades) then a .5 damage increase with upgrades is NOT worth it. A 1 damage increase isn't even worth it. A 5 damage upgrade would be more worth it.
In response to Violatorgames response to BraveDogBFG: So what you're saying is that I shouldn't support you because you won't listen to people that would like to help you with good advice
The Mammoths seems especially over powered. On the tree level I couldn't do even half of the first Mammoths hp, and the second Mammoth got through with 5,000 HP left. That was with my hero fighting them.
I like the game very much. It's actual understandable English, with very few (if none at all) typos, an amazing story, and a great game style. The only problem I can see is that the amount of PSI you get from enemies just isn't enough. Probably raising by half a point more per enemy would be the perfect amount.
The AI on Endurance mode needs to be better. It's impossible to lose on Endurance mode because the enemy never builds more than one factory from each the four enemy robot nations.
It was a damn good game. The music provided the perfect tone to the game, matching the destruction and chaos filling the highway. The only problem I had with it was the nuke. Nuclear bombs don't just explode and burn stuff. They vaporize everything for miles, and everything else for even more miles gets so heavily irradiated that nothing (Except what's already dead) can survive without horrible mutations/diseases/countless other conditions. So yeah, I think the nuke would've destroyed like 95% of the zombies, and then the army could move and kill the last 5%
Enemies need to give more money, I think. You need to kill 20 enemies in order to build a single pistol tower. Yes, the engineer lowers cost. By like 2-4 points. That means we still have to kill 18-16 more enemies to get a single pistol tower. Either enemies need to give more money or engineer needs to lower the cost more. Thanks!
I'm sorry about it. Under which circumstances did you experience the lag you described?
