I got my first win (ab)using necromancer. The skeletons are very good. And life drain + canibalism make you completely sustained without much micromanaging lvl ups and food. A single drain can vamp over 50 damage late game without uping the spell damage... pretty insane
I was the first to think that this needed alternative scenarios, but if you think about it the whole point of the game is that there isn't. The escalation scenario is well done and there is a lot of thinking about the difference about what is displayed and reacted about vs what the big picture is . Really nice job.
The balance of the game is pretty shaky. The beginning is harder than the end. The "hero" is almost useless. The student is even worse, and once Flake has a few levels she is completely invincible and the game turns into a click fest. It seems every single tactical rpg turns into this trap of overpowering heal and regeneration...
Precisely kind of games I like. Bug free, original, simple, hard, and pretty good style. Please don't mind comments telling it's too hard, or frustrating because they get stuck somewhere, or the pixels suck ; your game don't aim them and is a great success.
