Beat the game, after several page refreshes to regain memory. Earned both badges, but Kong registered neither refreshed page, all game progress erased. What sort of game forgets your progress when and only when you beat it?
As much as I love Kongregate, I think I'm going to take a pass on redoing all of this stuff in a browser when I've already done so much of it on a mobile device.
It's somewhat telling that a game about a girl who goes through her whole life, changing her surroundings but never herself, is set to a song that sounds suspiciously like "Georgy Girl".
The game seems to have a *real* hard time remembering settings. Every level I win or restart resets my sound and graphics options to default. And I better not hit restart after losing a level, because that returns me to no-options mode; if I want to retry Sudden Death, I need to go to the map and set it back up again. It's a cute idea for inconveniencing a player to has to restart, but it's also terrible.
I can't rightly fathom what would make this game enjoyable for eighteen levels, though the sound problems make it unplayable even if it was interesting.
I'm actually impressed by the amount of playability in this game. It's like the designer actually listened to players discussing what make a TD game enjoyable.
I like how you can keep people happy by feeding them their own ideas over and over again without any actual collaboration or trading. Just like the real world!
