I love jmtb02's work ordinarily. This game is just irritating. I love the concept, I love the introduction, but the game is just a replay of the same 30 seconds of this song again and again. If I didn't like typical rave music, this game would have been absolute torture. You need to understand that this game requires you to waste an hour trying to maneuver an elephant which is actually slower than the objects trying to hit it. All it comes down to is dumb luck and patience in the end, and that's hardly reconciliation for the hour of your life you will never get back. jmtb02, keep working. I love your work. NEVER let Kongregate make any of your games like this a piece to a quest ever again.
Amazing RPG. Certainly one of the best I've played on Kongregate. It is a fantastic amalgamation of everything I love about RPGs. It has a wonderful layout of a Mario-style map, the ability to replay quests and "grind," an amazing level-up scheme, and just enough humor to make it interesting. It's definitely a masterpiece.
I love it when you die when one of the suicide bombers is running at you. You just hear an endless AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHH~ Just for that: 5 stars. And it's a really fun game :]
This is a great game, but its super buggy and I really don't like the energy limit. It makes this game like those bloodthirsty facebook games that will drain your time, money, or both without hesitation. Keep working on it and don't be so greedy developing and you'll get 5 stars from me. Until then, 3.5, rounded to 3 because I can't click 3.5.
I love the music and how well it goes with the whole scenario. I also love the ending because you're never expecting it, but you're kind of hoping that it does. 5/5 Wonderful game.
This is an amazing game. The choice of music is spectacular, the only way to die is to lose your cool, it's a nightmare game without being too serious, the upgrade system is tuned perfectly to the flow of the game, the controls are simple, yet addictive because there's the paranoia of keeping your sight in multiple places at once, the health represents the speed the girl's running (a clever twist), it's difficult but not impossible, the character doesn't actually die, so it's extremely realistic, and it shows that the only way to win an near-impossible situation (and your own fear) is to work through it. Fantastic game. Easily one of my top 3 on Kongregate.
It seemed like some people liked the fact that a well-timed jump on the pads worked, and I wasn't aware of the double-jump at the time I posted that. I like peacechoi's idea of difficulty levels. I really do like this game, so I'll change my rating.
I'm trying to buy credits, but for some reason, it isn't opening up the purchase page. Also, you should make the deck-builder a little more apparent, like in the tabs or something.
The graphics could be much better, and overall, this game could do much better to be more challenging. For example, I was able to unlock the arch angel after the third level, which doesn't really indicate that the strongest unit accessable is difficult to get. The crossbow is too easy to use once you have all of the upgrades. Just hold down a,s,d and f and switch to another screen and you have yourself an infinite amount of exp. The last boss could be much harder and not so easy to beat. Simply spam hobbits and you've beaten the boss. The game overall deserves a 5 star based on theme and style only, but in all other aspects, there is much room for improvement. I am looking forward to Epic War II having these additions and flaws fixed if there is one to come.
wow, thank you so much! that is quite a compliment. =)
