Yeah for Rangor, get max equipment to make your life easier, and just get up close and personal and spam A...using the strong attack is too slow, and he has greater range than you with huge damaging specials...Don't bother using attack magic that stage, save the mana for healing in case you screw up.
When I hit level 10, I was like "sweet, snipers." Little did I know that they were so pathetically slow that they were borderline useless...
For an alternate strategy (that I honestly believe is much better, you decide), don't even bother with those range + damage upgrades. Retrieve the three adjacent hexes (AT ALL COSTS AVOID GOING ONTO THE "UPGRADE" HEXES), and pay close attention to what you get. If you don't get one that can fly, restart. Otherwise, take the flying one(s) to an enemy area that doesn't have many buzz-bots around, retrieve it, and start breeding from there. The ones in the center can be left to die, so you can make more on the outside ring. From there, you can slowly and steadily just capture the area in a huge ring. By the way, if you're about to die, just return to main menu; you don't lose any lives that way.
The fastest way to get through this game is to just use nothing but the 3-spread once you get it (add a basic cannon in if you have an odd number of gun points) and just shotgun on everything. Even Class 1 tanks can "tank" everything due to the minuscule damage the bullets do...
For those unsure if they have completed the game or not, the game does NOT end in the room after the piano (before and after you play it properly). You will know when the game ends because it will tell you.
One last thing I want to add about resurrect: It can also help greatly in getting the Time Stopper Achievements. Just play as normal until you can max out the mana skills, meteor, and resurrect (Level 10 Warriors and Archers are nice too). From there, summon a small army to begin with, letting the AI deal with the enemies at the stop. From there, go to the buildings at the far side of the portal, summon a meteor to wipe out a few people, then resurrect them. You can cause havoc from both sides of the map, and from there, just keep spamming Meteors and Resurrects (Freeze too if you have it). If you maxed out the mana skills, you should never run out.
Just to add, resurrect can be a VERY useful skill when your portal has been destroyed. If you can kill enough people before all your units die, you can keep up a seemingly endless army. As for the units spawned, I don't know if upgrading the skeleton warrior / archers will affect the resurrected units themselves. I think it's a 50/50 chance between spawning a warrior / archer; doesn't matter what unit just died. =|
For those who still can't figure out what Resurrect does (took me a while to...), you're supposed to use it on a defeated enemy (when you kill someone, it usually leaves a corpse behind). If you use resurrect on that corpse, it revives (as a skeleton warrior, or an archer if you killed an archer). Keep in mind that you still can't go over your upkeep cap though.
Bleh, sorry about my last comment, didn't play Level 15 yet and just realized that the final champion isn't a Ninja...just use it as a general guideline for mass meteors then. =P
Besides relying on luck of the draw for the ninja champions on Level 14 / 15, a skill that I found to be EXTREMELY helpful is Adoration (The one that gives you +20 mana when you build a temple). If you max out Mana Pool, Meteor Study, and Meteor Mastery, that's basically 400 damage / 100 mana per meteor, meaning with your 500 mana, you can nearly instantly dish out 2000 damage. Since the ninja will still have 500 hp left, you're going to need two more meteors to wipe it out outright. Since your towers aren't going to be of any use anymore at this point, sell ALL your temples (so that your cost goes back to 100), and QUICKLY build 10 temples to get your 200 mana back and launch those 2 meteors. Hope this helped!
I just hope your aim's good. =P
For those having trouble with Big Billy (since I did at the beginning): The bear just spams coyote bombs and wooden crates. Break enough crates to fly Peakot over to Big Billy and use the force to destroy his ice cream. He will then replace the wooden crates with metal ones, and kick one of them every 10 seconds or so. When there are two crates left, quickly use Peakot to operate the wheel so Dale can jump on the platform and shoot him. Billy will then switch back to wooden crates, and the number of coyotes bombing increases. Just do this three times and you're done.
Congratulations! You just won the Dungeon Raider Badge and 30 points!
...with 56 weeks to spare.
The basic strategy goes around choosing Fighter / Worker / Training, spamming Construction until you hit 100.0 skill, spamming combat classes with Beach Holiday resting, minimal to no adventuring, and just equipping the best stuff you find. You kinda have to get lucky in the last dungeon if you encounter Elite Skeletons though, since you have to rely A LOT on dodging, which is quite random even at 100.0 Combat Skills...
It's a somewhat annoying bug, but after you reach a city, when you're traveling and you encounter an enemy, choosing 'Attack' will heal you, but choosing 'Flee' will leave you at your current hp.
Got the hard badge after 3 tries. The basic strategy is to play through the levels, and if you fail one, keep playing it while constantly upgrading until you can get through it. When you get to the bonus level, reset all your upgrades, and max out the shield type upgrades (the full-screen quick regeneration is EXTREMELY helpful for the bullet flooding). Max out repair and missiles, for those will be your main source of damage. Don't bother with the speed or side bullet upgrades, as you don't need to move A LOT, and most of the bullets won't contact with the bosses anyways. From there on, it's simply dodging what you can dodge, and shielding what you (think) you can't.
