I assume that the inspiration for this game was Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors? In any case, very well done. And if anyone hasn't played 999, do so. Its an excellent visual novel for the DS.
Good concept, good gameplay, good music, good graphics, badly coded. I get random slowdowns and speedups, and it has trouble detecting what keys i'm pressing or not pressing.
After half an hour, I have successfully contained the creeper at its spawn. I then spend another half an hour filling the map with weapons, energy storage, speed daemons, and reactors. Once i finish with that, I hit the survival button. Twenty minutes later, the creeper is still contained at spawn. Is that supposed to happen?
Possible bug: Silence effect only wears off at the end of a round, not the three turns it says it does. So if you cast Silence (or disease) at the beginning of a round, it will last all of that round and then all of the next round.
And I think the soul skill point upgrade should be equal to a level up, at least. I level a lot more than I get soul upgrades and 5 per is just kind of pointless.
I think the skill point system could use a little tweaking. For one thing, its suffering from yu-gi-oh syndrome. Why use a system with multiples of five when having individual skill points would work just as well? Also, it gets a little bit frusterating when you have to level up three times just to get one skill. Since these skills are at the bottom of the skill tree anyway, I think the time invested in getting to that skill combined with a level requirement would be much better. Plus if you agree.
Great game. 4/5. Something to fix, I beat several levels by having all my green blocks fall and then continuing before the red blocks i had knocked over reached the bottom. Other than that, needs a sequel.
