If SDGS shuts itself down, that would shut down all of the weapons systems around the globe. (Though, that would not mean the "end of the world" for the SDGS; just the "end of the self"). It talks about being defined by what sacrifices one makes; and then proceeds to override the emergency manual mode by using the bugs the programmers left, sacrificing itself for the good of humanity, thus defining its morality, personality, and purpose; and proving its "humanity." I loved the conflict between the "walls" -- (i.e. machine parts of the SDGS) and the notes (i.e. the human/sentient parts of the SDGS).
What a beautiful, thought-provoking, multi-faceted game! Too often we get muddled down in the short-term realities of everyday life, that we do not embrace the bigger picture; becoming more like God: creating life in the image of ourselves. It makes me excited for what is in store for humanity in the near- and far-future.
Although, I do wish the boss battle was a little bit more difficult. It felt way too easy to be completely satisfying. That is all. Other than that, I loved it just as much as I loved Royal Warfare!
Planton, you are truly a one-of-a-kind developer. You have made some of my favorite games on Kongregate, and you exude your passion for developing quality games through asking for feedback and legitimately caring about your fans' interests. Thanks for that. :) I love this game!
Unit prioritization would be a good idea; like having your mages prioritize the ghosts on level 19. They end up attacking the trolls while my knights and soldiers are ripped apart.
To be brusque, this game needs work. It has a lot of potential and I love playing it, but there are certain problems that take away from gameplay. A big problem is that one can destroy all of the zombies by pressing your CO's picture on the upper left-hand corner of the screen. Another comes into play when the player's squad retreats, the zombies advance, and then the two groups end up together again, causing more retreating until the player loses the mission.
Wait for Royal Warfare 2, hope you'll like it much more :) ETA June\July
