It would be nice if weapon requirements scaled with playtime. Like, I just started, and all of the level 1 stuff that's dropping requires ice-this and fire-that. Far as I can tell, I'm SOOO far from having those types of attacks.
Cool concept! Only complaint is that I lose my "handle" on the strips too easily. When dragging, touch another strip or the same strip by even one pixel, and I completely lose hold of the strip. Game doesn't snap to the neighboring empty cell or even wait for me to bring the mouse back before attempting to follow again. I have to bring the mouse back and click the strip again. REALLY slows the game down.
Great concept, well implemented, absolutely loved it! Hope it gets badges soon so many more can enjoy this. Only recommendation would be to work the 20-wis-for-1-reduction into the game somewhere, maybe a tool tip. Wasted a lot of equip slots upping wisdom when I first unlocked it to no effect. Alternatively, maybe an exponential scale for wisdom instead of linear? Like first -1 at 5, second at 20, third at 50, and so on
Yea the wisdom note is a fair point as the 20 req is not obvious at all and can make the stat seem broken (bad way) at first. I did consider the exponential scale at some point but I think there is a lot of merit to it being an easy math equation. I usually play by checking if something is going to drop me to another Wis level, and when it's multiples of 20 its very easy to gauge that. You couuuld add some UI that shows when the previous and next milestones are but honestly I think it's too much at that point. Great points and thanks for playing!
Would be nice to be able to see the GPS directly on the skills screen. Maybe a toggle to choose multiplier or GPS. Also, instead of percentage to next skill rank, maybe a count. Another toggle could work here too, so we can pick percentage or count
@Chaosinmotion, did you mean isotopes or did you mean energy cores? The different energy cores have different multiplier per cost benefits. So far, it seems electron is far and away the best value because it's so cheap. I'm up to level 300 on electron vs 20s for the others, and still my calculations suggest electron is three times as efficient to level
Level 11 - (1) stand on the button and lure the zombie; lure it all the way left. (2) Jump over the zombie and cross through the door when the zombie opens it. (3) Lure the zombie right, standing on the button to let it in. (4) Kill the zombie when it's standing on the middle-right button. (5) Enter portal
Loved it! Just wish there was something at the end (as we exit the cave with the mirror) to tease what happened to this world with a mirror bearer on the loose
Dev's Jan 18 comment: "Levels 9 and 10 are harder than 8..." I thoroughly disagree! I was able to complete 9 and 10 in a couple min, still struggling on 8 like 30min later. Texture, continuity, focus, angle, color, orientation... none of these work to make progress on 8 with. Loved the game except this level
Hmm... Maybe since I already knew what the correct image was I couldn't properly test this, I'm ok with hard levels, but I think this one is just being frustrating to people. Might require some tweaking to get it right, I'll try to change the puzzle design. Thanks for your feedback.
Pro tip: if you're sniping bosses in a new zone for gear, right-click the right arrow to get a new foe. Less tedious than left-then-right tap on the keyboard
Anyone else nail the bunny-lives ending on the first try, then struggle to solve lvl15 *with* killing the bunny?? Seems like worthless rodent should have at least been able to jump back up to the portal without help from the box.
Love love LOVE the keyboard controls! 1-5 for colors, R to restart, in addition to intuitive mouse controls. It's little things like that that identify a great designer, well done!
Great game! There were definitely occasions when I wish the checkpoints had been more generously spaced, but nothing so bad it made me want to slam my keyboard against a wall :). Great game! BTW, was climbing the penultimate tower (after accessing warp doors) necessary, or could I have immediately warped to the top?
So disheartening when you finally earn a reward and all you get is crap gear that barely even fills the reward bar again. Maybe guarantee a permanent bonus item from reward?
