Operation Flaming Dart: I got 1 star on it the first time, and the second time, I had 19 lives left after all of the last round of guys were dead, but the level victory event wouldn't trigger. I had to quit. :(

Once in a while, some members of my squad take damage from an invisible source. It seems like something explodes, but invisibly. I noticed it right around 1000m in one of my last few runs. It happened again a little ways beyond that, in the same run. It seems to happen every run.

Kind of cool, but up arrow should jump and it takes too long to move around the screen (or I'm just too impatient).

Scan the comments for the explanation of why up can't be jump... hint: it involves ladders!

It's hard to mine behind large rock formations which block our view. Maybe have a simple grid that appears there when we walk behind one?

I'm up to MK.210 and all I do is upgrade pick hardness and miner damage, both at a nearly infinite rate (limited mainly by the slowness of the upgrade function). I don't see any reason to continue now.

I made it to Hellstone 100, thanks to the Ultimate Pick +48 which my blacksmith just crafted for me. I guess I'll call that good. Nice little game. :-)

The game took around 1 minute to complete and there was only one thing to do within it. No upgrades or other choices or alterations to make. If you want this to be considered a finished game, you've got to add more to it than that. What you have so far is fine, it just is much too short and simple to be taken seriously as finished.
It's kicking me out of the game just about every time I try to go into the mine now. It puts me back to the "play novalode now" button. It used to do it sometimes, and now it's doing it almost every time. Ugh.
Thanks Prospector - the fix for this is live now and should hopefully improve things.

The stack splitting and (so far) all other quantity specification actions are in SEVERE need of an overhaul. Trying to sell, say, 800 out of 3500 of something currently requires 800 clicks. This is obviously nonsense. The graphics glitches aren't gone yet but I can play. I just got a new Firefox version and it will be implemented the next time I restart so we'll see what that does.
Thanks ProspectorSam, we've added this to our task list and expect to get to it within the next few days.

Cool... but yeah, I want tooltips that explain what the items do. Aside from that, I like it pretty well for one of these crazy-making games.
I'm getting some display glitches. The "daily tasks" button color extends leftward from it to the left edge of the game window, covering other buttons along the way. The X to close popup windows is sometimes invisible. Other similar glitches.
Make sure you're using the latest Flash player as these sound like old version issues. Also some browsers have worse performance with Flash so I recommend firefox. Lastly I know that scrolling a webpage with a swf on it can sometimes cause graphical glitches so that's another thought.
I had to retry a few times to get the game to run (after creating my character). Now that it is, it's pretty neat. I may keep playing. However, Boomtown seems like a frustrating place due to the need to run all over without having any reasonable semblance of a map. I really dislike having to find my way randomly, at least after I've already found something once. Discovery is all well and good but it should count for something. It's like my character has amnesia: she forgets every place she goes as soon as she leaves there.
Sorry you had trouble getting in but thanks for the kind words. We've had a few comments about Boomtown so will look to review the orientation quests and direction-finding aids; we certainly want to retain a level of discovery but not to the detriment of the game-play experience. Ha ha! I once discovered a cure for amnesia, but I forgot it... ;)

The stage with the hook dangling down is weird. I can get the hook to pick up the weight, but only by using the hook as (apparently) some kind of magnet. Then, I can't drop it. I've bashed it into the left wall over and over. It won't let go. Ugh.

I just reached Hellstone 72 1 minute ago (for optimum mining, I mean; I can take down as high as a 77). I hope my game doesn't reset too. If it does... consequences will never be the same!
