nice graphics, but gameplay needs some improvement! Play some other really good bullet hell games like "frantic 2", "epic boss fighter", "bullet heaven" or "jamestown" to get some inspiration.
Though you should keep one of the "flaws" like the limited view or the single shot to stand out from the mass!
Very good game, but the lagging still gives me some problems. My PC is pretty old, so I'm used to these problems.
I couldn't kill the toaster, even with all upgrades. When it leaves the screen it still has at least 1/5 of his hit points. Please inform me if you have any solution for the lag problem, I'd really like to 100% this game.
P.S. The Story is GREAT!!!
A great Arena-Shooter!! This is the only arena-shooter I ever played longer than half an hour and past the sixth level (including tutorials), 'cause I don't like arena-shooters in general (not a specific part of them, just the general gameplay!)
The only weakpoint in my opinion is that it IS an arena-shooter and that it is tagged as "bullet hell". Like most arena-shooters it's more a "Creeps-hell" than a "BULLET-Hell". The music is pretty good, too!
there is very much to improve, but the graphics and performance is alright. More Upgrades, Money Magnet, different Ship visuals.
Especially the Money Magnet!! 99% of all hits I got came from greedyness!
great game!
Still has some cons, thus 4/5:
- the hitbox of the flying things in the second level is too high and too small. "Small" might be on purpose, but sometimes you can shoot right through the belly without hitting it!
- no chance to jump when you still have fuel, but just want to save it for later?
- pretty much unneccessary gore imho, but that semms to be what everybody wants since "binding of isaac" aired :-S.
Pretty hard after a while, but really fun!
Only con is that there should be an auto-fire-option, since you can hold the button anyways to shoot the whole time.
I died very often on the first try, because I used up the x-Upgrades very early to try them out. You should make sure that everybody knows that they get better, the more you stack them!
Great game. My kids were watching me while playing it and were NOT BORED!!! This is the first game among thousands I've played in front of my kids and they were even ENTERTAINED!! You 16-yr old guys can't imagine how impossible it is to play any game longer than 10s in a row with three not-even-close-to-12-yr-olds around you...
And to those who think that this sounded perverted: Watch some more MLP and code new games for my next weekend! :P
Magnet should be an upgrade or permanently active. I only lost life when magnet wasn't on, because of greedyness.
It's a very good concept to leave the control of the weapon to the AI in a game where the goal is to shoot all enemies!!
The Music annoyed me after a while, but is definetly good.
I didn't notice a difference on hard mode, until the blue arrows appeared. Just giving the creeps more "life" isn't THAT more difficult.
I spent about 15min to notice how to upgrade (and I lost once in that 15min losing ALL my lights -.-), add a hint to that in the Introduction, no one reads the Text below while ingame!!!
Keep it up, the game is still really good!!
Nice game with great physics!!
The "bullet hell" factor comes slow, but there's one thing that's bad: the slow motion! The game's far too easy when you use it. I saw the option to play with cheats and thought "why should one use cheats, when the biggest cheat is available in the upgrade-menu?"... It should have a (visible!!!) time limit or restriction of any kind.
Or even better: A "bumping shield" that causes no harm when you bump into a "normal" enemy, but kicks you away like those sun/gasball/things. That would be a good approach to the "teleporting into me"-Problem, that caused me and some others real Problems.
I've played many Bullet Hell games and this is GREAT!!!!
I gave it 5/5, but I REALLY like to upgrade with earned money/collectibles that you can catch in the game. I accidentally lost 1 lifes on the first level, because I thought that the little yellow shots were coins -.-...
Anyways... the game is really good, the difficulty rises pretty fast (when battling the SECOND boss, I let a friend guess which level it was. She said "Since you're so shocked, it's the THIRD"!!!)...
@joker_blin: Thanks for the Advice with the "Bullet Hell"-Tag! I wouldn't have noticed it without the tag.
Not my favourite but pretty good, once you get the hang with the different food-types. Tipp: just look at the colored frame of the food to choose the right color for you.
Try to add Mouse-support to control the dog!
Quite good game, the retro-tag is earned! Still, it could need some more HUD. A "when will it finally stop"-Bar or at least a counter how many stages are left. I couldn't make a difference between difficulty easy and hard before the third stage. The scaling is bad.
Even though I like the scrolling bullet hell shooters more, this one's really good!
It looks kinda simple in the first place but gets really hard later. There should be some Kong-Achievements for this!
One simple advice from Developer to Developer: Don't frameskip in a Bullet-Hell-Shooter!!
The Graphics are good, the gameplay is "ohkaay", but the asteroid-field-missions frameskipped me to death. The second enemy-types were a little more of a challenge, but you really didn't need any of the non-damage-upgrades, since speed is fairly enough from the beginning and good dodging can avoid most of the damage.
On the other hand: I really doubt that you read any of these comments. The games seems like a typical "Gimme such a top-down-shooter-thing next week or you're fired"-Game that many companies have to fill up their game-counter fast enough to keep their "money-givers".
Nice concept, even when it's been used a few times already!
The gameplay was really fun, but the game could be much longer for Bullet-Hell-Pro-Gamers. I couldn't find out what the level up did. Please make another game like this with more and harder levels. The gameplay is really good, but it needs more of a "game".
Very little gameplay, but it's a start. You should mention that it's a first try of a game, to avoid bad comments.
Rethink the shooting mechanics to make fast clicking possible instead of holding the mouse-button. Some people really need that!
Really good arena shooter, but not what I expected to be tagged with "bullet hell". The difficulty rises at a very good rate and I really liked the bosses. I'm not very good though, so I don't think I've encountered very much of them.
