The game tells game that you have a certain amount of numbers correct or incorrect, but does not tell you which numbers you put correctly. This makes it a guessing game as any number of combinations could result in a single correct number without you realizing it (this is particularly frustrating on those later levels). Not a bad game at all, just needs to make information less cryptic.
The "guessing" part may be real just in a level's first steps: as soon as you get the first results, you should be able to "deduce" the right numbers position. :) Thank you anyway, we're glad you liked it!
You're totally right! Sometimes our private eye gets really frustrated because of all the limitations we give him... so sometimes he just snaps out and goes wild. :D
Support us to see more of his powers: if he reaches his limits, he could even summon a hovercraft - which we would give to you!
Interesting game, even if I do not particularly agree with some concepts portrayed therein I have to say the characters all have their own charm. I really liked the music - mind if I ask what the names of the motorcycle chase and God's explanation songs are? I will finish reading the linked site tomorrow.
Thanks for the comment! The motorcycle chase song is called "Fight the Movement" and can be found here: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/545373 I don't think the musician ever uploaded the other song, but it's called Revelation Amongst the Stars, and I uploaded it to my own server here: http://we-are-1.net/Revelation_Amongst_the_Stars.mp3 Let me know if you have any further thoughts about stuff.
And this series ends in a really cool way. Great work! There are grammar mistakes every now and then, but it is nothing immersion breaking. The characters are all well written and the art style is original, combining pixel and drawn art. My only complain to this all is not about the dog as others say (knowing Mr. Gilbert I *knew* he was not going to abandon him) but rather the way Mick went out. Then again, he *was* felled by an otherworld horror, so it really was not a bad way to go out for him. P.D.: I did play your new Tale of Caos game earlier. Good work on that too.
Thank you very much for your wonderful words :)
Mick was a twisted character and we needed a peculiar end for him u.u
Words like yours are OF GREAT value to us!
Keep having fun!
Myosotis... I see what you did there. Anyways, great game series; if you could do this much within only a few months, imagine what you could do in a few years...
Thank you very much! We are doing our best!
Actually, an episode is taking us about three weeks of VERY hard work, because, as you can see, our team is quite small :D
We just begun, but we aim to the stars: we want to improve ourself every day and do our best to create MEMORABLE games!
We hope you'll like all of our games; keep having fun!
(Cont.2)I am going to finish this with the following: I noticed that you guys are working hard on your games, and you are still active in your facebook page (even if under a different name). My suggestion is: Keep polishing your game-developing skills. The game's backgrounds for example are generally good (some like the city one are simply cool), but most are still below professional quality. The story, characters, the backgrounds... They all scream of something *potentially* awesome. But at the same time, this potential is never realized. Check some of the greatest platformers and see what ideas you can borrow (even just looking at Mario, something can be gained from it). For the story, work in cutscenes - it will fit best with what you are trying to do here and it will help keep things fluid. And well, that should be all. Take care Blue Cosmic Games, and good luck in your future games!
(Cont.1)At the end George's friend(?) falls back to the darkness, yet again it feels as if nothing has been truly lost and nothing has been gained either. Cornaria has been restored... Yet not once I catch a glimpse of what that/where it is. Presumably the characters' homeworld but... Again, it feels as if I only saved the void. Now on to more positive aspects: I like the character designs, but they need to be more fluid. What I mean is, if George is jumping/running/falling his arms should not stick as if glued to his side. It makes him seem more like a robot than a human otherwise. Also, I noticed that when he is falling an expression of worry appears in his face, but it is not enough to compensate for his stiff/glued arms.
I have not played the other Rising Phoenix games, so I will just be frank with this one. I will also add that this will be quite long and split between different comments (due to the annoying character limit). First of all: It does not feel "complete" as a game. There are no obstacles beyond when/how to jump, and there are no enemies. Granted, the Phoenix is a solitary creature and you managed to recreate that feeling perfectly. But, it is not what you seem to be aiming for here which brings me to my next point: The story. There is a story which is easy to grasp and would work with a platfomer, but the problem is that here it is not fluid. You are given some (rather vague at first, if I may add) fortune-cookie-sized phrases that are meant to convey the story - and although they do so just fine, everything feels... Disconnected.
The only thing this game lacks to be among the "forever replayable" list is, quite frankly, a map editor. The missions are good, the AI is great, the difficulty of the black guys certainly honors that of the aliens in Solarmax 1 (remember the mission with 3 battleships?). The map editor feature is all that is missing -- afterwards you have a game that can be played over and over again to great fun.
Not really a bug, but the description for Crystal Extraction says: "...and the percentage indicates the chances of a garnet being extracted each second". Otherwise fun game! First "idle" game I actually enjoyed.
Never had an Atari, though Asteroids was one of the first games I played. A flash, yet faithful-to-the-original version. I would like to say I have fond memories but... I just remember dying a lot. That said, this game is really cool and I actually finished it.
