Wonderful game! I have long awaited this. My only issue is a small one. Two of the extras say that they are for collecting COINS when really they unlock after collecting so many STARS. Please fix this :)
Fun but a bit overly simplistic. Pretty damn good for 48 hours. If you were to revisit the idea with more complex mazes, maybe a Portal/Shift-esque story line, and I think you have the new biggest escape game. Very very cool.
I liked the complete lack of instruction, I thought at first that there was some kind of time pattern on which barrier is up (like R,R,Y,Y,R,Y,R,R,R repeat) or something, but soon figured it out.
The blue bars are the difference between the cars default stats and maximum potential. The cars will never be equally good, the Routemaster is *never going to travel as fast as The Tardis* or spin as fast as the Micro Machine... even with full upgrades.
Wait, we can unlock the TARDIS?
Over all, the game is rather sub par. I rated it a 2/5.
The upgrade tree and tank types is a great concept, but suffers from the pitfall of not mattering. Range and Regen are the only two things that matter. Once you max range you can (mostly) just shot guys from out of their range, making the game rather boring. Even when you max HP, your tank is very fragile. Single when does a single AAA take out a tank before the tank takes it out?
Trenches are too hard to kill. It's fine that explosives have a very high chance of missing, but something has to be able to kill the damn things!
The turret that you are not controlling having AI fire is great.
Only two bugs I found, but they are very annoying. Between sessions the game does not remember your controls. Also, the turning controls switch when you move backwards.
Over all, it's a decent first try with a great concept with some brilliant ideas, but suffers from playability flaws that ruin it.
Pretty boring and repetitive game. Little strategy besides snipe from long range.
Also, when you go backwards the left and right keys work opposite the way the should.
Hidden update:
You can save time by clicking a single purchased upgrade to sell it back. That way, you don't have to keep resetting all your purchases. If you choose something other than the most recently purchased upgrade in a chain, it sells all subsequent upgrades as well.
This is bloody amazing and completely hilarious. If only real game design conferences went like this! 5/5 for a decently challenging but completely hilarious waste of 15 minutes :)
Really brilliant game. Love it man, you did just about everything right. Very sad storyline, but that too is very well done. I'd like to echo the comment about putting viruses on the layer above bits. Also, I felt the last two levels were depressingly easy. I died at least once per level starting at level 12, but the second to last level I beat with ease by simply spinning in circles and the last level was pretty easy too.
5/5
Oh my god. This game is so sweet! I love it. A few tips to make it harder: Make it so that you can shoot her. Make it so that she can be the only one to go under the cage. Both of these are definitely doable and make the game much harder (It took me until my second time through that I realised that the second wasn't a rule!
