Monster Arena

Nov. 11, 2011

If you use in-training items, then enter a trainer battle, you battle the trainer's monster 3 times in a row as if you're in a tournament. It can kinda be used as an exploit since some easy monsters can give decent experience. (Fighting flashbug for me gave me 75 experience in 3 attacks' time.) So uh, yes, that might be something you want to look at.

Someone please explain why this game is rated higher than Snailiad. This is not a bad game, but someone needs to explain that.

-_- I have a feeling the allusions to the real political system of Soviet Russia are going straight over the heads of some people here... That said, excellent game, the humor is good and the message behind the events of the game is very tactful and smart.

Castaway 2

I have to say, as someone who couldn't stand the first Castaway at all, I love this game. Basically ever problem I had with the first game seems to be resolved, and it's just an all-around very good game. I actually enjoy playing it very much! Nice job to the dev's, they've learned from their mistakes and put out a great game.

At first I didn't really like this game. Then I got to the part where it lets you steamroller babies. 5/5 In terms of strategy for the hard badge, I recommend just using the flamethrower and spinning the mouse in circles around the character. The flamethrower's effect is a sort of instant kill, so if you just do that and grab every piece of food you see, you should be able to get through some of the last few levels fairly easily.

Papa's Taco Mia!

I'm surprised he didn't name it Papa's Taquería since that's the actual Spanish name for taco restaurants and it fits with the other two games. Taco Mia isn't grammatically correct. :0

Why are people so bothered by this? It's only a game. I'm a vegetarian and I have no problem with it, it's not like animals are actually dying. If you don't like the sick humor, don't play it. There's other badges out there.

At first I thought it sucked, but oh my god--the Super Upgrade was totally worth it. The gameplay post-Super Upgrade was simply incredible, to anyone going for it, stick to it--after around $5 million it gets much easier. (: Oh god, that boss fight though.. I didn't think I'd win. Simply outstanding, 5/5.

FPA: Sneak Peek

Wait, so we get badges for the small demo of a platformer, but we still do not have badges for a massive platformer worth many hours of gameplay? (Not naming any names... coughclarence) I'll admit that the fpa games are all very good, but i for one do not support badges for sneak peeks of anything. -_-

I understand that this isn't at all a bad game, but how is its rating so high? :0 It is so plain and unoriginal... I mean I like what they did with such a dry genre, but there's still only so much you can do.

Ninja Hamsters vs Robots

To me it seems like Nerdook is a great programmer who needs to take his time. I know that squeezing out a new game every month probably makes a decent amount of money, but so may of these games end up falling short of their true potential. ._. Like this one... Very repetitive. And, well, dull after the first few minutes. I just feel like if he set aside a few months at a time and took on a quality project he could make some much better stuff. Seeing badges for so many boring nerdook games is kind of aggravating simply because quantity =/= quality. Please nerdook, if you somehow read this, take your time and make a really good game! One deserving of badges. I know you can. D:

Bubble Tanks 3

Feb. 10, 2011

HeroInteractive really should add a minimum size limit to player-made enemy tanks... I tried playing with the "all tanks" option and had to stop because every bubble would be filled with several miniature gnat-like tanks that at the lower levels are basically impossible to hit, let alone destroy. -_-

Arkandian Crusade

It's almost humorous how a great deal of the comments that offer constructive criticism are under the rating threshold. Really, fanboys. It is okay if someone comments about how they do not like the game, or critiqued an area of it. Seeing some comments that are really well-written marked as -10 just makes the fans of this game look bad, rather than the person who left the comment. Just thought I'd point this out... (now go ahead, fanboys, downrate this.)

Uh.. Hm. Something definitely isn't right here. I'm listed as having 2 backpacks (at least that's what I'd assume, it says I have 30 slots) when, uh, I only have a 30 slot backpack? I'm even on the leaderboard? (Which is actually the only way I can tell...) What. I'm confused.

Actually, building a mass of only flamethrowers in level 3 is not a very good tactic... Once the bursters or whatever they're called start appearing, you'll lose a lot of flamethrower units. So if you don't want to lose anything, you do need to add some diversity... Personally I used a long line of flamethrowers with some fuel tank launchers and flare gunners for back up.

TO ANYONE WHO HAS FOLLOWED THE CREATOR'S INSTRUCTIONS AND WHOSE GAME IS STILL RUNNING ABNORMALLY SLOW: Use firefox for this game instead of chrome. At first i was thinking, "Whoa man, what gives, this is so slow and i have an okay computer!" then i tried firefox and it started to run like twenty times faster. (Please rate this up people, i have a feeling a lot of this game's low ratings are from irritated chrome users, so you'd be helping the rating if you did.)

I believe the fastest way to make money is to start maxing out your team's health as fast as possible--since health left gives a big bonus after battles, the sooner you get health, the sooner you start reeling in cash. Just a suggestion for people.

Alright, i had suspicions initially, but the makers of this game seem very... Uh, well, gay. In the literal sense. Not that there's anything wrong with that, i just don't really enjoy having to play a game that involves staring at muscular men in speedos just to get a few badges... That's not the only reason, either. There's the weird comment one enemy makes about saving the protagonist for the shower, Gunnar's weird pointless homoerotic comments about spanking, and i just reached a point in the game that involves three enemies: "Torturer," whose lines clearly have sexual connotations, and his two slaves. Uh... I don't know. I guess it doesn't matter, but this kind of stuff just weirds me out i guess.

Necronator

Alright, first of all, I understand that this game is made by the same person who created Infectonator, but that's just my problem. I think if this game went through a few general changes it would be solid, but there are areas that clearly show laziness on the author's part--all he did is rework the engine and label it as a new gme when it only has a few small features added on. For example, the news has different graphics, but uses the same 'facts' as past games, which doesn't fit in with the time period and genre of this game. The upgrading menu also is still labeled the "Lab," just like in Infectonator. Which doesn't make sense--why would a dark wizard improve his magic in a lab? The recycled buildings also build onto this. It's not that I don't find the game enjoyable, it's just that the game could use a few more changes so that it doesn't feel like Infectonator with different sprites.
