My archer seems to have developed the shakes. When I try to draw an arrow, he just jitters it about awkwardly until I point at the sky. Otherwise, great game.
Great game, played for hours! Buying the gate and close range support upgrades for the towers is a lifesaver later on. I lost a quarter very early on due to not finding supply, re-taking it with early game weapons at 100% threat was fun and satisfying.
@robvw I wouldn't say unplayable. At max/perfect launch, I'm typically slowed down enough by the first asteroid field for things to be under control. What you describe only happens due to "bad" luck, smacking in to strings of boosts during the launch phase, punching you through the asteroid fields faster than your repulsion field can handle, before inevitably smacking in to a satellite or other immovable object like a giant bird slamming in to a sliding glass door. And then people are like 'OI! A BIRD, must have hit the sliding GLASS door' and then they go out there, and NO BIRD. Can you imagine the look on their faces? I would be a barrel of laughs, if I were a huge, invisible bird.
I've hit the same bug twice now. Right during/after the conversation where [REDACTED] tells you to meet them [REDACTED], I'm unable to move at all. The game essentially freezes right before the end. Very frustrating.
Lose the time limit. It isn't that it makes it too hard or anything, in fact, it is just right in that regard. But I wanna play around without worrying about it!
The speed achievement, save till one of the last. Dump everything into the best ratio you can manage of low weight and high power. Don't hit anything. Great game.
The downfall of launch games are lack of control, and lack of relevant things to do while mid launch. This game avoids both quite well. This is excellent. Thank you. 5/5
"Hello, fire department? I have shot my limbs and torso out of a cannon, and now they're way up high and I can't reach them. ... No, I do not need an ambulance, I need a ladder. And legs. Which are up on the ledge. ... Listen, of course it doesn't seem like a good idea *NOW*. ... look, can we just be adults about this?
Well, you just flew a castle fortress through a sea of fire power and high explosives, mortally crippling the most amazing piece of engineering this world has ever seen, and costing countless lives. I hope it was worth it. ..."YEAH"... Yes. Yes it was.
I love how well this was done. I feel like I need to replay it just to go through and watch the scenery- I especially loved the hills in the "grass" level with the road visible off in the background.
The music, and some of the "feel", the emotional impact of the game is highly reminicient of Final Fantasy 7. For you youngin's who weren't old enough to appreciate an RPG back in the late 90s, try and find a way to play it. FF7 is one of the few truly timeless masterpieces of the gaming genre, and if you enjoyed Starwish, I'm certain you would enjoy it as well.
