I guess it’s just a bit too hard eh? I believe buying money upgrades early on is best for the long haul, though I just tried with lvl 2 speed and then lvl 2 damage and that seemed pretty forgiving up …

…Anyway, at this point I don’t plan to make any major changes like adding difficulty modes. Thanks for the feedback though!
