I can't help but feel as though there's something deeper behind all of these sinister experiments and error messages, but really I'm just in it for the bananas so whatever.
Really interesting! Although I only played until I had the heavy crossbow and all of the building upgrades. Couple of things that bugged me:
It would be nice to have a practice mode between waves so that you can get a feel for the weapons and arrows you just bought.
You can't use abilities while reloading your crossbow
Difficult to tell if abilities are recharged or simply mostly recharged.
Also, I think I'm not really a fan of the whole directing other archers/catapults thing in general. There's already a lot to keep track of with leading your targets and reloading, it would be nice to have at least the archers be automated.
The only thing odd about these games is that until you find some sort of plans it seems like your character is just neurotically collecting random objects.
Not enough solving puzzles and carefully adjusting your aim and too much simply waiting for a bunch of moving arrows and objects to line up. It just leads to "You have a 2% chance of winning, do the exact same thing over again 50 times until successful" situations. Using the skip button and blowing things up with laser eyes ends up being lot more fun than actually beating the levels.
I realized that Hitler mustache kind of pixel (that's supposed to be the nose's shadow) a few days ago and went WTF!
