This feels like the start of a good game. Which means good a good base for a sequel or something. However, I'd like an option to reverse the camera controls. Which direction players expect the camera to move can changes from player to player and even from game to game. In this particular case I'd prefer reverse controls.
Good enough game, but the balance could use some adjusting, preferably using the big hammer. Once you unlock the idle part of the game the launch part of the game becomes irrelevant.
Short and sweet. The swordplay felt okayish. The swings felt a little bit stiff and short range but with a generous width while the dash attack had an awkward hitbox. So combat wasn't perfect, but good enough. The controls in general worked well though.
The puzzles were simple and more about noticing the solution than figuring it out, which works just fine.
Nice game, simple and short, could perhaps use a bit more challenge.
Played it with a PS4 controller, which worked well enough, though with some issues. The X button being on turbo for one (but that might also be a controller issue rather than with the game).
But more importantly, why would you want to use an analogue control stick for a simple platformer like this? The directional pad is far superior.
Firstly, I really like the sound in the game; it feels so satisfying.
Secondly, like some others have said, I prefer numbers. Having shapes feels like an extra step that's not really necessary. But I can understand that some like it that way. Why not have it being an option? Dunno how much work that is to code though.
I'd like for one of the bikes each generation to be an exact copy of the best of the previous generation. That way you won't end up with having one race get to the second lap and the next race everyone crashes in the first third of the first lap. It feels like if you aren't lucky, the next generation might become less skilled, which really isn't optimal since every generation should be a possible increase in skill upon the previous, not a decrease.
Actually, one of the bikes is always an exact copy of the best of the previous (and one is always a new full random, that the one that usually crashes in corner 1). However, an exact copy does not do exactly the same route, I'm not sure why... In the other hand it is true that the algorithm I use is not optimal (it is the most basic one that exists) with a better machine learning algorithms, they would learn much faster and without so many problems
Is there anything wrong with the volume or is it just me? It's so low I have to turn my speaker level up to uncomfortable levels if anything else on the computer should choose to let out a sound.
So, normally when I want to move derps I just have to click, drag and release on target to move them, but when I'm in a fight where I actually have to click the enemy for extra damage I have to click derp, release, move pointer, click and release at target to do the same move. And that's not even reliable, sometimes it goes back to standard.
Did the game get an update the last day or so? It suddenly stopped working when I reloaded the page. Now when loading the game I only get either a blank grey screen or a very simple loading screen that's filled up and nothing more happens.
So, how to rate this. Base 3/5 points. Can't zoom in so I have to either reduce my resolution or play in a tiny window. Minus one point. Instructions? "In the game" No they're not. At least not from what I could find. Minus another point. Down to 1/5 points. Repetitive gameplay with an insane amount of levels. Doesn't exactly help. I'd rather play an idle game.
So, you can't enter a station with drones out. But if you've come back from a mining run you're probably full, so you can't take the drones back. Which means you have to jettison something. And if you don't have anything in a small quantity you have to jettison a lot of stuff to take back the few but relatively expensive drones. That makes drones too inconvenient to use while mining, especially considering how weak the mining drones are. Otherwise, great game!
in the update, drone mining has tripled (since i boosted the mining laser last update) and you have an option NOT to overfill your cargo bay so that you dont have to jettison ore to dock them. :) . also, the EJECT cargo slider bug is fixed in the update as well, so you can choose to eject any qty now.
Stopped playing after accidentally hitting walkthrough or the playhub buttons one too many times. They open up a new tab and automatically switches to it. You can't have buttons like that in a game that's controlled by the mouse. They just bork everything up. Keep them in the pause menu or something. Or let people use the keyboard to control the character. Too bad, this would've been a decent game otherwise.
So, to get a certain propeller upgrade, 5 or 6 I think, I need amber droplets which are only collected at a height of 170 in air worlds. The previous upgrade let me go to a height of 173. So it takes luck to find it, and if you're not looking at a guide of sorts you could easily get stuck there.
Also, I'd like to be able to build parts from the research screen, that'd be nice.
Great game in most regards.
Your wish has been granted! There's now a settings menu in-game with the ability to inverse the camera! Enjoy! :D
