Second way of solving level 20:

I wonder how I didn't stumble on the easier solution posted here while struggling with the level:D
I'd like to be able to move all moving parts to an "inventory" to help concentrate better. Flashing arrows in random bad spots are not helpful or pleasant:)
Everyone stuck at levels 20-30 while I'm stuck at 9:( But seriously, how are you supposed to get 5-away note, then 4-away, then 5, then 4 again? With 4 arrows and overlapping roads...
Oh, nvm... Got unstuck, time to get stuck someplace more respectable:D
Ok, I won 1 medium game, but I still stand on my point about AI. Super illogical. They let one of my soldiers run loose on their territory, when they could easily eliminate him, they just follow him. They surround a town with 5 times bigger numbers yet not attack, basically avoid conflict where necessary and go into conflict where it's not necessary.
Wtf, how are you guys playing that? That's some rage inducing AI. Every time I get ganged up on on medium difficulty. I never had such trouble with a strategy game before. The "allied" AI player doesn't even go for free towns, but puts all effort into backstabbing me. The AI rarely fight among themselves. After a battle in beginning that I thought I won(territory wise) I noticed that my enemy has 2 tanks in backup while I used up all my units, how is that possible if I have more towns and territory?
Nice, very enjoyable concept, I remember there were newspaper puzzles like that, where a knight had to move through some maze stepping on predefined squares only once, can't find it anymore. The only similar thing is Lichess knight tutorial, but it's very simplified.
Battles with AI pieces are a bit weird, it feels like it's impossible to win until the AI blunders take in one. But I guess if you put some sort of evaluation function the game would become unbeatable or would require a lot of work to figure a way to make a map with forced take combination.
You should be able to preview team you're transferring to, or at least ask for confirmation. Now I have to start worse off than I've been at the beginning, makes no sense.

About the luck, the more damage powerups you have, the longer the timer, which leads to you being constantly in maximum power mode if you get 3 powerups in a row, on the other side, you struggle if the powerups are stretched out in time and time out before you can pick another one. I think the timing should be reversed, long time out on first powerup, less with every other level.
The enemies that shoot back is a nice upgrade, but still too easy, even with no life upgrades. In the next game I suggest not trying to please everyone with difficulty, but simply adding different levels of difficulty.
I volunteer to playtest the hard one:D
Hello! First thanks for the comment. Really the idea of leaving a menu of selections of difficulty pleases everyone. As this is the first game I play in this style and open to the public, (not counting the one I have here), I am collecting information from all the players, and it all serves as an experience for me and my career. Now about the weapon levels, it's up to you to choose the best one to use at the appropriate level, weapons can have advantages in attack, as disadvantages in quantity, so it depends on your gameplay :) About the weapon's powerup time, it really is a this idea of reversing the times is good. I'll do it. Thanks for playing.
There is a bit of a bottleneck on a level 4 now, you need to destroy ~70% of asteroids and collect all the coins from them to pass. Takes around 5 tries to level up enough DPS and magnetism to do so. Or some luck with powerups.
Level 7,9 and 10 weapon upgrade is not very good since you get one bullet instead of two, which is bad for the asteroids that break into small pieces.
Level 22 is skipped because you gain too much xp in levels before that.
Level 24 and 4 are the only ones which took more than 1 try. And level 24 only because of bad powerup luck. (1/2)
I'm still 2 weapon and fire rate levels away from the max, and the game is already over:(
I also found it to be too easy, maybe include harder settings in the future? Maybe take inspiration from Touhou levels? Not the Lunatic ones, though :D
If I tell you that I was thinking of doing something in this style, but the guys complain a lot about very difficult, just like my first game haha. I am already designing a GOSPACE 2.0. Who knows ... Thanks for playing and for the comment.
Little hint: in almost every level you can start by putting the flattest piece near the flat wall (there usually only one or two such positions possible), it usually belongs there in one of the solutions.
There is definitely a room for a part 2, bigger levels, different pieces, different level shapes, color coding the pieces or zones, etc. Or just a level pack/unlimited generator.
First few empty levels were the hardest. After solving levels 15-20 in under 2 minutes each, the levels 4-6 give me as much trouble, so the difficulty does not increase. It might even be lower, since on later levels fewer possible solutions mean bigger, "bulkier" pieces that have fewer possible positions.
Haha, had to fight against myself in the arena, won, got some points, then the message came about me beating me in the turnament, lost even more points.
All progress disappeared even though I didn't delete cookies or anything like that. Since you have some Kongregate connection in the settings, there should be a cloud save.
Aargh, I can't beat level 3 second time. Any general tips? I try to get big territories that give armies ASAP (priority to ones that have bigger army/territories ratio) and at least one territory of other big territories so my enemy does not get armies. Anyway, one of AI still has more territories in the endgame.
