So this last update wiped out all of my resources and buildings, while leaving the kill count intact on the tile my hero was working on. Guess I have to give up on making a mentor this time.
The swarm invasion mechanic doesn't make sense in an idle game. You have to click on an invader roughly every 10 seconds, which means half an hour of constant attention is required to defeat an enemy swarm. You can't afk during that, because the loss of energy from a steal is a huge penalty. While you can close the game and come back later, you still effectively have to spend half an hour paying total attention to this idle game. Maybe you could change it so our army fights theirs?
Goddess of nature's faith bonus doesn't seem to work correctly. It says +3 faiths from a monk from each forest. It seems to give +3 faith per monk, period. Not per forest.
Palisades don't seem too useful. The main benefit to elves is that they're cheaper than swordsmen, but by the time you reach palisades, food is the only part of the cost that matters, not gold. Taking palisades essentially forces you to go the fairy trees -> masters -> elves -> foresters route, but by then you've got enough happiness that you're better off with farms and homesteads and using swordsmen.
How do you win as Sparta? They have significantly less turns than Athens. I've succeeded on all of the events, but still ran out of time. I don't get a lot of envoys, so I attack people with the military. Plenty of generals, but I can't generate troops fast enough to take everyone over before running out of turns.
Merchant and Arms Dealer seem a bit ripe for abuse. Buy an item, upgrade it to the max, sell it for 130% of what it costed, rinse and repeat. Exponential wealth growth.
It seems Flash drops the frame-rate if a game is not in full view on the screen (even scrolling down on the page can slow the game down.) Running the game in its own window seems to help.
