Modern times but the lamplight outside the office is actually natural-gas-powered (it's a flame), like in Victorian times. Unrelated, Elm street? Anyone having a nightmare? Now I have to keep looking for shout-outs.
"You can have this pickaxe" - "no thanks, there is already one in the mine. On 2nd thought, I'll take it, the other one seems stuck in the background."
Aside from this, it was fun.
Cool game.
To add to pacak's advice: when you paint and you want to check the color, click the rag to remove the paint not applied to the right place. You need to fill in a form fist.
Challenging enough game.
Although, when one has a crowbar and is surrounded by frustratingly locked rickety cabinets, IRL there would be an obvious solution... Especially for the cabinet with the glass door.
"Inheritance - we have something for you, but first you should send us money to cover notarial fees" - Where did I hear something like this before? Maybe some place around Nigeria :-)
Not a bad Diablo-like game. Liked the classes being defined by the starting powers. On a side note, happy to see the return of the Money Spiders. Let's see if I can outrun a giant spider with 50 lbs of loot.
My review, final part, I promise.
No issues with the repair system as it is now. The way it turned out for me, either I level-up/buy a new plane before the previous one is broken, I use a repair kit I got for free, or I am forced to take a break from playing. Either is good.
Nitpicking now: when I add new seats, could I set my preferences somewhere? I want them to go automatically on the front side of the plane, instead of the back of the plane.
About the price of opening new markets or workshops, another suggestion: use a system similar to the pricing of a new line, based on the number of markets (for a market) or workshops (id.) in immediately connected cities, rather than the overall number on the continent. E.g., use the square (1, 4, 9...) or the cube (1, 8, 27...) of the final number of markets between immediately connected cities as a multiplier of the basic price of a new market. Getting access to all markets on a continent will still cost a lot, and quests do a good jobs at pushing you to open markets and workshops everywhere. but opening the first lines and making do with a workshop every other airport could become an affordable starting strategy.
Loved the game so far (level 7). There was a lot of attention to details.
Two main suggestions:
- I would prefer the 'max' buttons for buying and selling to be constantly visible. By the time one appears and I manage to hit it, I am already through half my purchases.
- On the travel map, when the mouseover makes details of the city appear on a floating panel, could the 3-letter codename of the city be mentioned next to the city name in the panel? After a few hours visiting hotels and depots, one gets accustomed of thinking of the destination as a 3-letter code, and I sometimes get confused as to where I wanted to go. Seeing the full name and codename together in the panel would avoid this.
Plus, it would make it more "official-looking" :-)
Thanks. Hope you enjoy part 2 as well.
