@woodhavenagent for octopus I used Beorn (pb1), Zoe (pb2), Troy (pb2), Grim (pb1). Mostly purple gear with forging where I could. Beorn tanking (hp trinket) and everyone else as damage (power trinkets).
I'm on Building 17, have 119.8 SX Blocks/Sec, and still fundamentally have no idea how "blocks use/click" works. Not to mention I have 75/100 upgrades done, and still have 2 "locked" items at the top and an e40/e70 unlock which seem laughably far away. And that is all with an auto-clicker. WAY too slow to progress, and very confusing mechanics
Oh wow... OK the worst one of all? Apparently your game doesn't save. i only needed 5 more pieces to complete the "collect them all". Tried to get it a little quicker by restarting if one of the pieces I needed wasn't available right away in the shop or the keyed room. Did a browser refresh, and poof, goodbye game. Well, it was fun while it lasted :/ Definitely not replaying everything 10 times to get the achievement. Good luck with the game!
9. Some of the items look the same in the checklist whether you already have them or not. Due to them being grey or black. So going for the full "collect them all" achievement becomes tough due to the high cost + unsure if you already have it.
A fun 5min game! Could use some QoL fixes:
1. Ability to hover over items in the "Items Found" screen to know what they are. Because of this, a way to know what you are picking up from the "secret room".
2. The horseshoe still only drops 1 item, not all 4 in the secret room.
3. An achievement bonus. Would be nice to get a % bump on gold drop or base damage.
4. Adding a "New Game +" where the next run through is tougher, making the achievements add value and boosting replayability.
5. Boss COSTS money, not drops a bonus. Since the chest each boss drops requires a 3 coin key. There should be a bonus for winning, not a fee.
6. Coins are scarce - just 15 per floor (assuming you buy 2 keys to open the boss chest and the secret room). Since the items all cost 10 gold, that means you only can buy maybe 4 items per run. Not very fun when you can't collect items.
7. An in-game indicator of whether you already have the item or not, for when you are trying to "collect them all".
Not too bad - real quick escape game. Hardest part was (SPOILER) finding the batteries underneath the bench on the bottom right side. Other than that, seemed fairly straight forward.
Good game, but sooooo many red herrings. SPOILERS: Things that stumped me for a while: Use the bandaid on the clown upstairs; there is a grub/worm at the tail of the worm in the top left upstairs. The smiley faces just all need to face right... IGNORE THE SOCK. After you align the smiley faces, i had to click the left one again.
update: Figured out 21. Grab the spray, SKIP the first virus. Wash hands. Spray SECOND virus. Grab carrot, wash hands of dirt, feed the bunny. Open the farthest door to the right, wash hands. Grab key ingredient, head back to left. Run, don't stop, and squirt the hand sanitizer ASAP. Then walk home.
How did people get past 21? I always seem to miss the handwash by a quarter of a second? I do spray to clear the first germ, gloves to get past the second, feed carrot to bunny, grab gloves, open door to get key item, run past bacteria and do a swap with fake item then try to close door and wash hands. But never can get to the hand wash in time. Ideas?
Adding to my last note... restarted and could finish the game. I chose to continue, and the last 2 upgrades are essentially impossible. Canawalls become essentially worthless at only 640B each, and anything below that is laughable. Each click is about 10 quadrillion at the 456 TDC conversion. Since there are no other upgrades available (100 is cap), you'd have to use an autoclicker for hours to get to the 500 Sext or 5 Oct upgrades.
Easy fix would be additional upgrades at 250, 500, 1000 etc of each item, or some other balance to enable ANY money generation besides an autoclicker after the end game.
I'm aware it's just a 5 minute game, but just offering insight!
Couple notes:
- Overall actually sort of fun. Game progresses at a very reasonable pace
- Needs a Buy 5/10/100/max type system
- Game crashed entirely once I got close to the end. Had 100 of the top 6 or 7 items, and 20-50 of the rest (besides the wall). Assume there is a memory leak of some kind, since it was getting glitchy/slow before that as well, getting progressively worse.
- Would be nice to have the total coin/sec visible without having to click on the bar. Even a hover would be better than a click.
Hi, thank you for all suggestions! Actually, the secret room is SPOILER (under the stone from the item room, you have to bomb it)
