Very nice game, the graphics were great and the bullet patterns were fun. The music isn't bad, but it's very simple and predictable compared to the chaotic stuff happening on the screen. This was particularly noticable on bosses, which felt far too relaxing - the extra stage Touhou bosses are a good example to compare. Still deserves 5/5 though.
Fun game, nice and fast with no annoying death sequences. My only criticism would be the music - it's a bit irritating to listen to for a long time, I think it's the high pitched parts. A few more music tracks would be nice to mix it up and give the levels some mood.
Really looking forward to playing this game, as soon as it stops killing my browser for being too resource hungry. Please either make it more efficient or add a quality setting like every other flash game has. Can I buy a quality menu for 10 kreds?
Great demo, feels like an easier version of Jumper or I Wanna Be the Guy. Very nice chiptune music, fluid controls, overall lots of polish. If it were on Steam I'd consider buying it.
moskaubear - Thanks for the info. I probably wasn't equipped well since I had the best equipment you can buy but couldn't beat any of the bosses on each floor. Partly because of the difficulty level and partly because I was still noob then :P I agree the last boss wasn't too hard, but when you only get 1 or 2 attempts at it you have to hope you got the strategy right.
Just finished playing through the first quest on extreme and I have mixed opinions. It's a nice concept for a game, but it drags on so much since the only difference between levels are the enemies. The interface is very cumbersome too; buying and selling equipment is a nightmare. The battle system is nice though and adds a lot of strategy. My biggest complaint is being able to get stuck. Losing a battle really damages your characters and having no way to go back to buy more equipment and items makes it a whole lot worse. The last floor, especially the last boss, was extremely nerve wracking - I retreated once and spent all my gold and items for a second try, if I couldn't win then it's game over. This game has less strategy compared to other roguelikes, which is fine, but it also means dying isn't so much your fault. If you get unlucky on the last boss you've just wasted 6 hours - that really really sucks!
A nice game but there are a whole load of glitches that take away from the polished feel. You can also fully equip your units and vessel fairly early in the game which makes it boring quickly, especially the random encounters.
Fairly good game, although there are a lot of little bugs and irritating things that should have been ironed out in testing. The GUIs suffer the most- they need to be more intuitive and the layout needs to flow better. With a bit more work it could be a great game!
Like the first game, it's a good enough idea, but again it relies on little skill and a lot of guesswork and luck. Being able to see the path of the ball on previous attempts and modifying your shots would be a step forward- how fun would The Incredible Machine be if your objects disappeared after each test run? But the bouncing still remains unpredictable enough, especially flukes against the corners of a wall, that it becomes more like pachinko than a puzzle game.
Not bad, but it seemed a bit unpredictable. I found the sound effects really irritating, and the music didn't help much. I'm sure buildings don't sound like drums and cymbals when they fall down!
Great game, some of the levels are very clever. I looked up the locations of secrets 7-9, but I guess they're secret for a reason. Ignore the complaints about graphics and difficulty, they're both spot on. My only gripe was not acknowledging Jumper, which I assume inspired this, so S9 made me laugh. The controls seemed fine to me, except using shift for kill and exiting level can be annoying. For the people suffering from lag: try switching browser. Going from FF3 to IE7 fixed it for me.
Nice graphics and animation, and the choice of paths was fun. The statue part was clever but tedious and the music got irritating very quickly, but apart from that a good game.
