Heh @Deatharr. Yeah, I was unstoppable until I selected my shotgun and then tried to switch to another soldier by clicking his squad list entry, resulting in me shooting him with the shotgun! Led to us getting devoured. This would be a GREAT game if in a full RPG game with a long-playing campaign and less rapid power increases on both sides, and with PERMADEATH. As it is, it's the "difficult savescum" game, where "Oh, all my men were wiped out. Oh well, I GAINED EXPERIENCE and still have all my veteran troop perks, so it's actually impossible to have any negative consequence other than wasting my real-life time playing the same thing again." Totally breaks continuity and interest for me.
Arrgh... I just played two survival games in a row and got 99 kills each time... one short of the medium achievement...
Great game. I think the reach of the spear, sword and kick should be more distinct. It's weird being kicked at sword range by an archer with no weapons... and it seems far harder to hold off an enemy swordsman with a spear, while the AI seems to be able to keep you at bay pretty well if he is an active-enough fighter.
PLEASE fix the problem with summoned cards moving the view far to the right and leaving it there! It makes most of the action be off-screen when there are summoned cards!
I hate how you can't see the action when there are too many summons and one gets added off-screen. it fails to scroll back to show you the actual action
Great aesthetics. Interesting motion. Weird scale of bike to diagram. It's just a steering scrolling game, though, where your opponent is essentially the motion of the window view, and you just have to retry until you get each part. (i.e. limited game interest)
Many aspects are very nice but it needs some tweaking, balancing, etc. One pet peeve is the lack of enforced risk from the penalty-less save game feature.
Seems that lower tier numbers are greater achievements than higher tier numbers, FYI.
People who complain about the number of misses are lame. Missing is clearly based on the relative abilities of the combattants. Without a fairly high chance to miss, it would just be a contest of damage versus hit points. Not that the combat is very interesting as it is, since there are very few options and no maneuvering. Also combat is double meaningless since you seem to always survive any defeat with little consequence.
