Story was a bit random, but okay. The biggest criticism I have about this game is the loud beeping when text was displayed - that was completely unnecessary and quite annoying.
Needs a mute button. Also, you should mention in the in-game instructions that for computer users, you must click and hold, rather than this finger nonsense.
Please let us set a speed (x1, x2, or x4) and then leave it, instead of it resetting between days! It gets really annoying to click x4 all the time, since I don't really *do* anything during the day, and the game pauses between days.
You know, the fact that it took me roughly 1200 deaths to make it through the first 20 levels really should have warned me not to try the challenges...
The Sound volume level should *really* control the volume of dialog in the cut scenes - it's incredibly annoying to be forced to mute my computer through every cut scene because I'm listening to something else at a way higher volume and the speaking hurts my ears turned up that high. Other than that, excellent game - well done.
Wow! My mind is bent in all sorts of interesting knots after this game, especially the last level, and I absolutely loved it! Would definitely play a sequel (or three), though not right after this one or my head might implode.
Definitely needs a hint button that fixes one square in its proper place - the most difficult part is getting that first square (or more often, handful of matching squares) in exactly the right spot and knowing that it's right.
After getting 5 stars, I got bored and destroyed all the receptions, then the elevators, and eventually everything in the hotel. After getting to roughly -$660,000, with everyone just wandering around on whatever empty floor they got stuck on, the game froze. Woo.
Sorry about that! I should really explain the rules better. Will fix it soon, I promise. The goal is to get rid of pieces that are stacked too high before you reach the next level. Failing to do so will, well.. implode the universe.
Um, am I the only one who doesn't understand why sometimes the blocks blow up and other times they just stack, even when they match perfectly? Cause I'm completely lost there.
Anyone else having trouble connecting to play the game (not just multiplayer, but before any buttons or anything loads)? It worked fine for me two days ago and now it won't work at all, and I want to go back and play through it again...
I like it well enough, but it is missing two things: We need to be able to re-map the keys if we want (arrow keys + j and k just doesn't work well for me; makes my hand hurt from the odd positioning), and there really should be an inn or something in town that restores you to full HP/MP for free or for a flat fee (20gp, maybe? Or just make the save point also heal you, if there aren't any of those in the wild). Till you at least let us change the keys, I'm gonna have to set this game aside and not play it. 2/5, with 4/5 or 5/5 if you make suggested changes.
I'd probably give this a 2/5 or possibly 3/5 normally. However, with so much advertising for a different edition of the game on a different platform? Automatic 1/5. Fix that before you expect me to take this game seriously.
Waaaay too much lag; a quality option would be nice to try and fix that. I can't make it past the first level, and I have a relatively high-performance computer with no programs running in the background that should impact its performance.
Ahhhh well put, i'm writing that down to add in a later version, Thanks!
