Story Mode 4: I was able to beat it with an Omega Penguin+30, Orbital Cannon+17, 4 Shuttle Reactors+3, and 4 max Rocket Boosters. I would use one Rocket Booster during each Shuttle Reactor stage and managed to just barely reach 1million in 40 days. Hope that helps people.
Love it! Definitely feels more difficult than the first. Or I'm really rusty. Also beautiful and colourful. I can't tell you how many times I died being distracted by the games art. Especially the rainbow of bullets on that one boss I can't recall. 5/5 no question.
Like the update and it addressed the issues that bugged me the most. One thing I would like to see is a single bar or just set of numbers showing total money/sec after you purchase all the required managers. Small little thing of almost no importance, but I think it'd be cool. I love the quick response and update and honestly the new appearance has grown on me. A bit more ironing out of some issues others have mentioned and it'll be better than the previous version. Keep up the good work.
The new update just seems so complicated. One of the best things about the game was its simplicity. Some of the changes, like separating upgrades that cost Angels from the ones that cost cash were nice, as was the achievement popup, but the rest is more annoying than anything else. Also, the game is A LOT slower now. Needs work or a roll back most likely.
Played this game about half-way before I decided to beat the first one to get a refresher. I have to say that I couldn't do it. It was just too...off is the best word I can think of. This is a major improvement over the first and worthy of 5/5. Awesome.
Love the series and love this one. I will say however that sometimes the explosions seem too inexact. While this was fine in early levels it got ridiculous at times, nothing that one can't circumvent after some trial and error, but still a bit annoying at times. Also, I don't like how the late late levels seem more focused on hitting blocks in midair where it seems mostly reliant on luck. Still love the game though.
I thought that playing the third one in the day with all the lights on instead of at night would be easier. Took me five seconds before I had my first scare. Kudos
I enjoyed the game until certain levels became cheap, but when I lost my save for some reason and had to start over I was able to progress and play better. It was easier and once you upgrade the allies to a higher level their crap AI is almost unnoticeable. And then I got to the final boss and all the fun went away. No boss in a game like this should be able to one-shot your entire party with their normal attack. After your allies die, which they will, you will be unable to break his shield and damage him with the hordes coming after you. It takes an ungodly amount of luck to beat him. Impossible? The number of people that got the badge says no, but it is really poor game design. If the boss dropped you to near-death fine, but this is ridiculous. 3/5 simply because I largely enjoyed the game despite some glaring flaws.
Some of these levels just seem cheap, especially those that revolve around your teammates. Take Stage 9s Eliminate challenge, you have a whole challenge filled with only the dashing green frogs. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but because your teammates' AI sometimes sends them from one side of the field to the other after one specific enemy causes them to be easy pickings and can even die before reaching the other side. All timed missions with teammates only is doomed to failure and relies solely on luck. The game is good and entertaining, but the teammate AI makes this a 3/5 if only because giving a 2/5 makes me feel bad especially when I did enjoy the game for the most part.
And this is why when you see something in a basement like what is seen here, you run the hell away and at least don't go alone. This was a genuinely eerie experience and you would make Poe and Lovecraft proud. Cannot wait to see where this goes. 5/5
After taking a moment to calm down I'd like to add that what I found most impressive was how at first I forgot about the first one entirely, but the moment I saw those eyes I remember in that single instant the whole previous game and ran the hell away as far as I could. I only stopped cause I could find out where to go. Also why the turning lever door took me a few minutes to open.
Damn you and your ability to scare the crap out of me. I knew that if the picture for the medium badge freak me out a bit then there would be no hope for someone as easily scared as me. Doesn't help that the girl in the top floor is just the type of creature that scares me the most in horror. Still despite my beating heart and desire to never sleep again I must give you a 5. Just freaking brilliant.
Just started playing and managed to get a "Revive with 25% life" from one of the safes and died immediately. I think a temporary invincibility, maybe 3-5 secs or so, would make it less of a crapshoot.
Love the game and love the challenge. I never once lost though... until the Amazons. Evil, just pure evil. Still fun though, had to rethink strategies and it was kinda refreshing.
Another game that doesn't have a badge for really beating it. Gotta wonder why there are so many of them. Oh well, damn good game, but definitely needs to be an auto pickup for the coins or some other solution to the scroll blocking problem. Still I loved it so 5/5.
We're working on lots of improvements - keep your eye on our Updates section. :)
