Can't play because one of my arrow keys don't work. It would be awesome if I had an option to change my controls - if not the ability to bind keys, maybe an alternate control option?
I love this game, and I'm tickled that it not only (finally) got badges, but even BOTD! Finally, Kong gives some love to a game that's NOT a P2W nightmare!
This game has a deceivingly high rating. It's a clunky runner-style game. Being made to collect the antidotes when you can just barely slow yourself is just one of the several frustrating things in this game.
I would have bought this game on Steam with no reservations, but the way this is being handled I definitely will not. This game got quite a bit of attention on Kong, and it's like a slap in the face to both Kong and the fans - not only do we no longer have access to it, but now it's a game we must pay for. That's no the way to go about things, devs. Ask your fans, embed some ads, do whatever you feel you need to do to generate revenue - but don't give us something for free, and then decide later that you want something in return after all.
Please, for the love of all that is holy, stop making Papa's games BOTD! They hurt me in the warm fuzzies, and I can't stand to do the same thing again for a BOTD.
The instant I saw the energy system, I was out. This kind of game is playable only if the energy system is to keep otherwise "hardcore" players from progressing too fast and breaking the game. Instead the system becomes pay-to-play or wait (for hours (or days)), and there's no reason I should have to pay in order to continue to play with the big boys.
While this game is great (and I've drained a shameful number of hours into it), it is in desperate need of an offline-idle feature. This game eventually slows Firefox to the point that it lumbers to a catastrophic halt entirely, and it would be really nice if I could play the idle part of the game without actually having the game running. Other than that, the craziness of the updates is totally worth it when the devs are not only active but also do a fantastic job engaging the player base. Keep it up!
Well damn, another game that's nearly impossible to play because I can't use the numbers on my keyboard. Is there any way spells could also be used with the numpad keys?
Overall this game is pretty enjoyable. Due to the particular timing required for a few of the levels, it's easy to rage-quit - levels 20, 31, and 36 in particular - before exploring the player-made submissions, some of which really shine.
This game has a solid concept. After that, though, this game is hard to like. First the lack of any kind of tutorial. Then loose- and floaty-feeling controls. And I want to say that the AI difficulty seems to be pretty random, but that's not quite accurate. Instead, the randomness of items and the AIs' ability to use them make the difficulty random. 2/5 for a good idea, in desperate need of some love and lots of polish.
