@DoujsM They appear when you sell ore via the button above your ore inventory. This usually happens when you double-click when closing the update window. Making the update window a little wider would take care of this problem.
Idea for a small usability improvement: Make the upgrade window a little wider. This way its close button is not at the same spot as the "Sell all ores" button.
I really want to like this game. The city building aspect is a great addition to the original Kingdom Rush. But Pay2Win breaks the game to an extend that makes it Pay2Play.
Energy is introduced just so that you do not get new resources. Dark crystals are needed everywhere but you only get one every few days.
It would probably be a 4/5 game without these issues and a P2W that is less annoying. This way it is only 1/5, maybe 2/5.
@Exportforce You always get angels slower over time. The total amount of angels earned is proportional to the square root of the total amount of money earned. This is why I am reluctant to buy angel upgrades...
From what I remember it gets harder to earn angels over time. The amount of additional money needed to get from one to two angel investors is less than the amount needed to get from 1000000001 to 1000000002 angel investors (I remember something like a*sqrt(totalMoneyEarned)). If I buy an angel upgrade: Will the amount of total money earned be reduced by the price I paid? In other words: If I have a quadrillion of angels and use all of them for an upgrade. Will I have to earn more total money to restore my old number of angels than I had to earn for getting to this number the first time?
Why don't you just save a timestamp along with amount money, updates purchased etc. You could then just get a new timestamp after starting the game and calculate the new balance from the time difference production speed and profits. This calculation only takes fractions of a second and I do not see how it could fail.
Offline fails since the last update. I would really want to know what can go wrong there. Isn't it just adding "(time(now)-time(save)) * sum(speed_i*profit_i)" to the saved balance?
Login does not seem to work with Flash 11.2 (last version for Linux). You should test this and add a disclaimer. (Or even better get rid of the login screen.)
Thanks for rebalancing. The game is playable again.
I have one issue:
When the wife levels with XP from watering/collecting/feeding the update panel opens automatically, but does never close (items below stay clickable). The only workaround is going to town and back again. Could you please remove the autoopening or close it as soon as anything outside of it is clicked?
Wife's upgrading is far too slow. After several hours (and this is only farming grain to make it faster -> no profit) of collecting flowers I get the first upgrade: She collects eggs once every ten minutes. Are you serious?
You should be able to set priorities for the fields or crops. For example if multiple fields can be harvested first harvest the crop for the trader then the one of highest value. This way faster growing seeds are actually harvested more often instead of only once per "corn harvesting cycle". Maybe harvesting a "lower priority" harvest could even (optionally) be suspended to harvest a higher priority crop.
Actually, the plots DO have priorities. First "up-right", then "up-left", "down-right" and the last one "down-left". You can plant your crops acording to those priorities.
They wont' fit in that bubble unfortunately but likely can do that during the speech overhaul. ~Taiga
