I’m known to cause insanity in laboratory mice. I am the Angry Reviewer. When a game isn’t done “right” or at least includes some time-tested, age-old features that should be in EVERY game (like a Mute button), you will likely hear about it. I like to think I’m fair, and not always right, sometimes I’ll continue playing a game after my review and find that there was a reason for something, or I misunderstood something. I will usually write a recant. I’m only human. I’ve been gaming for over 25 years, almost non-stop, and I like to think I have a feel for what makes a game good in general sense. I don’t confine myself to any specific genre (though I’m not a big Sports game fan) and I’m by no means a great gamer. I look at a game from a mid-level perspective. Some people are just more talented and will scoff at my reviews of a game being too difficult when they breezed through it. That’s fine, if a game was designed to please only the hardcore gamers, that’s alright. It’s like a sports car with ultra-stiff suspension and no power steering. That works for the hardcore racer, but not the average driver, or even average sports-driver. I try to give props where they are deserved as well and I look at all aspects of the game and how much work went into it. Also, to my fellow reviewers, remember: these games are all FREE. I try to remind myself of that all the time and often fail. But to the Developers: at least include a Mute feature?? Preferably one that allows muting the music OR sound, so we can listen to our own music but still hear important game sounds. Thank you. :) Activity FeedTheAngryReviewer has not published any activity yet.Would you like to post a shout to welcome them to Kongregate? |
