So when I started playing this game, I was expecting to idle, but it turns out that you really don't need to (or want to if you want to be fast about it) so I'm not entirely sure the "idle" descriptor tag for the game is accurate. For people who think the game goes too slow, those construction speed boost tickets should be used as much as possible, and if you want to conquer places nearby quickly and get money quickly, get the third upgrade on collectors to level 7 or so, and get a bunch of planets full of them. As long as you buy the perma upgrades for their worth, you can speedrun your way to whatever you want absurdly quickly, the only limiting factor here is the science buildings and upgrades.
I feel like early game Universal Bosses are unbalanced. In easy mode, I can get to round 200 something before a universal boss shows up and one shots the tower no matter what. I'm thoroughly sick of this and I can think of a way to make it more balanced. Make universal enemies deal half of their damage in each element, that way buying elemental resistance isn't totally useless against them, the other half of their damage can stay as untyped non-negatable damage, which would still provide a wall, but at a much later stage when you can invest in universal resistance.
I would like to point out to everyone that elemental resistance is almost useless. Sure it makes you nearly impossible to kill when that type of enemy shows up, but universal enemies just ignore all of them and kill you anyway. Instead, you should focus on getting about 25% chance on nova, getting it to at least 5 range and getting health. Block would be good as well, except it doesn't always save you. Anyway, what I'm trying to do is tell the developer that we need more reliable ways to fight universal enemies, they just screw you over without any way to counter them aside from nova.
my issue with defense upgrades is that there is no upgrade to deal with universal like all the other elements, so if a universal boss shows up, you're basically screwed one way or the other. Aside from that, offense DOES still seem like the thing to spam.
And yet another note is that you cannot reduce skill costs below 50, no matter how many skill cost reductions you end up buying. This is important to note so you don't end up squandering ALL of your resources trying to get 0 cost skills.
I feel it is important to point out (though I hope you don't remove it due to the fact that it's an interesting mechanic to balance around) is that when you buy skills in multiples of 5, 25, and 100, the cost is exactly 5x, 25x, and 100x the cost of the purchased upgrade. Whereas if you buy 1 at a time, the upgrade costs significantly more. This is a big tip, save up and spend many at a time, higher risk, but MUCH higher reward.
my main issue with the last 2 bosses is that sometimes there are literally no areas where you can go to not get hit, which in my opinion is an issue. I'm all for a difficult boss fight, but I'd rather be able to see where i should go instead of dieing because there's nowhere TO go. If I'm just bad at the game, someone please tell me what i'm doing wrong against atropos and hyperion.
Idea for new immortal. How about one that lowers cooldowns every time you clear an area, but by seconds rather than percentage like vaagur. This would allow people to more quickly reach close to their HZE, but doesn't give an OP boost once you reach it. Seems somewhat balanced to me, but feedback would be nice.
when i first saw atlas's first upgrade that cost 100% gold i was like "WHOAH WTF MAN?!" took me 2 ascensions to figure out that it was just the octodecilllion sign. XD
I find the angelic faction to be extremely ironic. One of the best ways to produce money is to use gods hand and then spam the tax collection spell. Why does god want their money so badly...
in response to ELYON777. You're level 7 man. The summons DO provide an extra target, which does a small amount of damage as well as takes hits off of your other characters. On the second turn you're minion has spells which are MASSIVE debuffs that require a much higher level on your character if you wished to use them. So you're basically getting a free third party member. Now in addition to this, the minions actually scale with you level wise, so they get better later (they scale VERY well i might add). Also Alyssa's powder bomb ability is amazing and i recommend you start battles with it, then use concentration, then blast people to pieces.
You should add in a plasma tipped rocket upgrade that reduces the amount of slowing you receive from hitting balloons while rocket boosting. Might balance out the fact that once you are going 300 mph you cant even see them before smacking into it face first.
I feel like i should point out that the lightning bolt arcs only do 20 damage no matter what level your magic is and what level the skill is. I'm pretty sure that's a bug so I feel obligated to tell everyone.
I ended up with an aimed AoE ability. Hits about 2 blocks outside of the selected point, has a +40% power and OH MY GOD THAT 5 RANGE IS SO GOOD! So basically what I'm saying is I have a rocket launcher spell and I love it.
