I'm another one of the players who liked the game initially but left because of the PvP. It's much too easy for high-level griefers to constantly harass low-level players. And the level protection is useless, because the systems that are safe only have enemies that don't give any more XP once you hit the level limit.
I wonder how many foxes woke up that night after having a nightmare about strolling though a forest, minding their own business, only to be mercilessly being disemboweled by a passing girl with a red bow and a sword...
Losing the leader's powers if he gets knocked out is a pretty nasty handicap - couldn't it be possible for one of the team members to become leader if the previous leader is incapacitated?
Seriously?! Putting the "App Store" box over a vital part of the user interface instead of unobtrusively in some unoccupied corner? That's not the way to get customers, that's the way to drive them away by pissing them off...
1) Having to click a dozen times to select a new leader is bothersome, especially when there's a lot of stuff going on, birds being surrounded by auras so you even don't see the red marker anymore, and if you click once too often you have to start over. Why not just let us pick a new leader from the pause screen?
2) The leader should be exempt from being replaced due to the pecking order, so you don't suddenly and unexpectedly lose it's power that you picked it for.
3) Speaking of the pecking order: it seems to keep getting reset between games, should it not be persistent (or maybe it gets reset when you discover a new bird species, I can't say for sure what caused it)
I bought the full version for my Android tablet, but the music in this flash version somehow sounds better. Isn't there a full version of this game available in flash? If not, there should be...
Sir, we lost 3 of our communication satellites!' - 'How is that possible? Was it the Russians? The Chinese? Aliens?!' - 'Uhm, no, Sir, according to our sensors it was a kid in a cardboard box...
I have a great idea! We'll launch some of you guys over to the enemy ship so you can sabotage their guns." - "Uh, captain, do you think that's safe?" - "Shut up and get in that cannon!
Gah, not another of those "pay us money so we let you endlessly click on meaningless buttons" games. I mean, seriously? Battles where you just have to hit the same button 10 times in a row but nothing really happens (besides a progress bar moving)? Whoowhee - how exciting. NOT! 1/5 - only because there is no way to rate 0 stars.
While I think that the art, music and overall ambience in this game are top notch, I really don't like the gameplay mechanics. The limited number of switches, combined with there being no clues as to what will be where in which time period before you switch, means that solving the levels is mostly a matter of a lot of trial and error, which I personally find to be highly frustrating.
Instead of auto-click I would have preferred an "auto-charge". I.e. the weapons charges all the time, and it strikes (releasing whatever charge has been built up at that point) when you click the button (instead of hold-to-charge and release-to-strike).
Infinite ammo is kind of over-powered, especially if you get a tesla or grenade launcher as the random weapon at the start of the level.
Like a boss!
