!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!
Incomplete Endings Guide:
1. After defeating Julie, finish her off. Turn on communications with the soldiers. Kill Emma in her boss fight. (Note: Don't return to her boss room afterwards, it is slightly bugged, in that it can send you into some stuff that only makes sense for other endings). Go to the escape shuttle, and leave.
2. Don't finish off Julie, don't turn back on communications, don't attack Emma. Help Emma set bombs in the core room. Then leave in the shuttle with Emma, Julie, and all the children you have saved.
3. Everything in Ending 2, except after defeating the core, use the terminal in the core room to open bulkheads. Then go to the purple area, and go through the now opened bulkhead to the final white area. At the end, unequip your weapon and subweapon, and get on the shuttle.
4. Everything from 3, but at the end, attack the forcefield until it breaks.
3/4 extra: Before the final area, equip Virus subweapon, Biofeedback, and Ammo Repositories.
Man, equal parts happy that a dev is doing what they can to preserve their work after the major browsers decided to screw over everyone with what they're doing to flash, and really sad and disappointed that this new port is so, well... just generally inferior to the original. A bunch of missing features, and just generally doesn't play or look quite as good.
Bug report: when fighting the stalactites, the game keeps freezing when they end their turn. Not sure what's causing this... maybe one of their moves is glitched somehow on some computers?
So, the game is fun enough that it makes me want to play through it again with different parties, but... what is with this idiotic system for picking heroes? It is possibly the single worst system of character generation I have ever seen. Like, what were you even hoping to accomplish here? People are just going to keep rerolling until they get a bunch that don't completely suck. After waiting a while, hooray you got a couple pretty good ones! Not even min/maxed, but still good! Too bad the rest are trash, so you have to discard those two. If the list with each reroll was longer this would be slightly more bearable, but nope, gotta pick 3 out of just 9, even though the RNG is unbalanced and stupid. What you have now would work just fine if you only needed to pick one hero, but you need a party. This one thing has reduced what would have been a 5 star rating from me to just 3 stars. If nothing else, please just make it so that it keeps the heroes you've already selected after you reroll.
Finally beat it WITHOUT Fire Mage! Necromancer may have poor damage, but his abilities are GREAT. Life Spike keeps you alive without using any items, Poison Cloud utterly destroys groups of enemies in a few turns regardless of how powerful they are, and poisoning enemies with your regular attack is actually surprisingly useful. I even won despite getting crap items the whole game, with the only exception being one enchantment scroll for my staff.
The story of what happened when I reached floor 16 needs to be shared, for hilarity. Literally as soon as I entered the level, the Goblet of Yendor was right there, in sight, just a few squares away from me! And... so were about half a dozen ice elementals (half of which were elite), another half dozen polar bears (another of which was elite), an ice statue, and a wolf kennel. Also a merchant, not that he mattered. At first I tried to just rush towards the goblet, but I was pretty much immediately blocked off by a wall of ice bombs, in addition to the enemies on all sides, and I of course just got slowed too. So, I ran in the opposite direction. In that one room where I started, I ended up spending about as much time as I did on most previous floors. But in the end, by carefully maneuvering around the ice bombs so they would hit my enemies instead of me and spamming healing and energy potions, I actually killed them all, and got the goblet. Thank you, PunyMortal, for the strategy.
Dear god, how can something so pixellated be so laggy? I could tolerate some lag considering that this is a turn based game, but... this is just too much. And not any sort of quality adjustment settings that I can see to fix it. Learn to code, dude... game programmers have been doing way more with way less resources for decades now.
Since it barely seemed to be nticed when someone else first posted it, I'll say it again: what I'm assuming is the new PVE screen just freezes the game for me. I can't click any buttons on the screen at all; I have to refresh the page to fix it. From other comments it seems like most people are able to use it just fine, but could you look into fixing this for the few who can't get it to work?
How can something with Gameboy Advance-esque graphics run so poorly? Seriously, this thing lags like crazy AND crashed my browser multiple times before I was able to complete it.
Thank you so much for making this. This brings me back to my childhood... though interestingly, even then what I played was ALSO a remake of the original Supaplex, put into another game called Rocks'n'Diamonds, alongside other classics like Boulder Dash.
All I get is a black screen whenever I try to play. My browser is Firefox, and I have tried to play both here and on cardhunter.com. Neither work. Can play other games, online or otherwise, just fine. There really is nothing I can do to fix this problem as far as I can tell. The problem seems to be on the developer's end rather than mine. And I know I'm not alone in this either. Which is a pity, because this game sounds like it would be quite good from the comments. To whoever made this: please take a look a your code, compare it to similar games made by other developers, and figure out what and where the problem is?
Oh god, a mandatory tutorial. Who invented this bullshit trend!? Am a sure I want to buy this thing? Why do you even bother asking if you don't give me a choice!? Head-Advisor my ass, why don't you lead the army yourself, you stupid wizard! It's not like I'm doing anything that you haven't pre-decided I'll do anyway!
Okay, I really want to like this... actually, I DO like this, but... it keeps crashing. Every time it's going well, my browser just suddenly crashes. It's happened while playing this twice now. Combined with the fact that I can't find any way to save, and it's just unplayable. If you can fix this bug, or at least make it so that I can compensate for this by saving, I'll give it a full 5/5 stars, but until then, 3/5 and not coming back.
Okay, what the hell is with the crashing in this game? It is more constant than any other game I have ever played. It is basically unplayable like this. I have to refresh the game after almost every mission. Which is especially bad since it doesn't seem to save how many supplies I have, so it is almost impossible to do some missions at all; it takes 1 day to get enough resources, and I have to refresh every day! And this isn't even taking into account the insane lag spikes in the tougher missions, AKA the places where lag matters the most. It's really sad... this would have easily been a 5 star game, but these problems bring it down to just 2 stars... maybe if you fix this in the near future I'll update my rating. Otherwise... I guess I'm not going to be beating this game :-(
Suddenly all the arrows and other symbols turned into those unicode boxes with the letters and numbers in them. I'm not sure what caused this, but I can't see any way to fix it.
A few other people have reported this happened after today's update; going to fix it in tomorrow's update. You should be able to fix it today by making sure your browser isn't blocking https://maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com/ , then refreshing the page. Sorry about this.
Overall, a great game... but it has a few flaws that are really, REALLY annoying. The constant tutorials and advice are rather irritating, especially the messages that appear mid-battle telling me to use the red hot spikes or monkey boost, since they come with a checkbox for "don't show this again" which DOES NOT WORK. The monkey vs monkey quick match thing keeps telling me that I need to research additional kinds of bloons before I can attack the person it chose for me, making it completely unusable. The fact that "start a wave" and "speed up/slow down the wave" share a button frequently causes problems for me. Other than that, it's great; 4/5 stars, and if these problems are ever fixed, then 5/5.
If you send us the console log it will help us solve it faster. Press F12 and go to console tab and send us the red messages
