Very nice game. I'm especially impressed by the game balance. I only had to replay one area. I would recommend adding a way that players can learn what abilities do and how the system works other than trial and error. Also, it would be nice to have areas where players can move around and have random encounters (similar to classic zelda games). But a fantastic bit of work!

Amazing game. My only quibble would be that the block action is too short. It frequently happens that I hit the block action after the arrow warning is called but she puts her shield down and gets shot. Sometimes I can quickly tap the block button again, but why can't she just hold the shield up until I release the button?

Balancing the modifiers is definately needed. And the stasis is the WORST aside from the drill since it can directly kill you. Get a stasis on you outer ring and you can no longer protect against drills. Get a stasis on your inner ring, you can no longer rebuild your core. Get a stasis on you middle ring and you can no longer transfer between inner and outer rings. At least with bombs and negative modifiers you can react by shifting your bubbles (or whatever they are).

I'm finding the randomness frustrating. Specifically the stasis modifiers. I so far, each time I've finally lost has been due to the stasis modifiers. I've actually had it where three showed up in a row, locking me out of all action and leaving me to just watch the end show up.

Some suggestion: Add a quality option. With enough units on the screen things slows down a LOT. Finishing the story mode shouldn't drop you back to square one for survivor. Having finished the story mode, I tried survivor, and suddenly realized I was helpless again. Clearly write out the objectives just before the levels start. Clear objectives make good games.

another glitch, on the level where you fight for 1:30 while others get a plan, the timer ran out and nothing happened. Had to reload

Excellent game, but there's a problem with the level where you fight the boss and he runs away, leaving you with two lackeys. If the weapon gets caught on the boss, you get dragged off screen and have to reload.

I have to agree with roomba. 1) Cop cars still rack up massive collateral damage but pay out peanuts. 2) While I'm swerving to avoid things, cops are ramming everything and costing me cash. 3) A number of times the cops did "kamikazi" runs and started chain explosions which cost me big. 4) the "bullet time effect" doesn't slow down the timer, so it is pretty useless. I tried using it a couple of times, but found that the cops lemming instincts made it worthless. 5) WEAPONS ARE WORTHLESS. I bought them, used them, and found that the only way I could get cash was by avoiding using them. Since I'm charged big time for any and all collateral damage, the weapons actually make it harder to advance. Unless this is a subtle message of nonviolence. But seriously, since destruction is counterproductive, the weapons are as well.

Correction, it's the green player that I can't get the slightest advance with, while it was the orange one who slaughtered everything. The centaurs are overpowered in that a full host of centaurs can hold off pretty much anything when covered with light melee, but if you don't have them and your opponent does they become night unbeatable

There seems to be a huge disparity between the relative abilities of the starting characters. I have tried multiple times to win one of my first fights with the last character (the yellow), and while I have two weak units, the computer responds with five different units. On the other hand, I played the second character (the red player) and brutalized everything in my path.

Umm, yeah, mentioning the win conditions would have been neat. I had everything fully upgraded and was wondering when it was going to end. I only realised you had to "repair the ship" after I read the comments . . . while playing . . . so it's kinda easy as well

The units aren't really balanced. I passed the game by spamming assault soldiers. By the final stats, 50% of my units were assault units. Riflement got mowed down when they encountered a trench, machine gunners had to sit in trenches to be useful where they just sucked up mortar or artillery shots, snipers useless because you had to wait so long to make one, officers made no noticable difference, and tanks had such a long cooldown time that they were unbuildable. Which isn't to say I think this is a bad game, I just think it needs a bit of refinement. One MAJOR improvement in my books would be to put the reinforcements on seperate times. Then I'd actually want to produce other things than assaults. As well the ability to make your soldiers wait for their comrads without a trench would be useful. The ability to set "delay flags", points that your soldiers would wait at until unlocked like trenches, would make me feel less like my soldiers where genetically crossed with lemmings.

Getting 7000 m is pretty achievable if you use your items in the right combinations. Since you can get lift from both thrusters and freaky, you concentrate on getting speed with your first shot, then experiment ways of alternating your items. Thrusters give you lift, skis let you bounce, and freaky lets you bounce and gives you lift.
