Chess Evolved Online

This game is really amazing. I didn't realize how much I needed it in my life until I played it. The strategy is unbelievably deep and yet it's really easy to get into with the "danger line" feature (although it's probably a bit easier for us people who play regular chess). The developer is really active in the community, and monetization is handled very gracefully. The balance is also very well done, with the upgraded pieces having the downside of higher cost in general, and there being periodic re-balancing when needed.

How to kill a zombie

This is a great game, very reminiscent of the classic Boxhead series. A few suggestions: There shouldn't be 2 AK-47s in the upgrade menu (Uzi is labeled AK-47). A countdown or progress bar showing time until combokill is reset would be nice. Trophy room could show progress as well for trophies like freeze 100 zombies. Trophies could be expanded, maybe some level specific ones (eg. survive 30 waves on Lab 1, reach 250 combo on Cemetary). Waves could be a bit more varied (eg have a wave with fewer big zombies, followed by a zerg rush wave with tons of sprinters) instead of what just feels like a slightly harder version of last wave each time.

The random spawns turn this game into pure nightmare fuel. Every time you turn around, there is a decent chance that a monster is silently moving towards you, with its emotionless, crimson eyes just STARING. Even after death, they keep staring. Even after looting, they stare...even after I turn off the game and try to sleep, THEY STARE!!

I suggest that every time you start a game, your weapons should start out fully loaded.

There's something about the monsters in this game, the way they appear out of nowhere, the way they just glide across the ground with that perpetually unchanging face of blood and death...being caught in a fight with one of those creatures, only to turn around and see another one RIGHT THERE GLIDING TOWARDS YOU WITH THOSE BLOOD EYES OF DEATH STARING If you want a real dose of high octane nightmare fuel, this game is what you're looking for. Kudos to you lillejohn, I now have a fear turning around in real life and seeing one of *those* things...

Looking at my achievements, I can't figure out exactly what I did to get them. Is there any way to find out what each achievement means? If not, there should be.

One glaringly obvious improvement to this game would be giving each character a separate graphic for their life count. Of course, this would take some graphic design work.

I have to agree that the 0 luck thing is hurting this game. The problem is that since there is an infinite number of militia, it can be unduly risky to attack an undefended nation. In fact, it feels like attacking is rarely worth it unless the target is a serious threat because of the 0 luck problem. The rewards of coins, weapons, or turns just don't seem to cut it when it costs you a turn and possibly a weapon to replace your lost soldier, and more turns if you want to increase its rank. I think that the game would benefit from luck going from 1 to 9. It would encourage more aggressive strategies.

This is just brilliant. I kinda expected it to just continue as it did, but the ending was completely surprising. I just blundered into it, without realizing the game's paradox of hating me. Very well done. Now, to get some hand donors... 5/5

Very bizarre, but interesting none the less. I liked the spikes being used as pick-ups, clever. Perhaps the plot makes more sense if the player is imbibing large amounts of mind altering substances...? 4/5

I didn't expect it to be so depressing or deep. But great game. 5 out of 5.

This game is really fun brain excercise. Just keep typing and trying to find words that fit what you draw.

This game is really brilliant, but there are just some moments that will make you go "WTF the enemy is hacking" Like when you experience a blitz wave where a tank and 3 of those vehicles with MGs come at you and pin down your entire army. Or when your bazooka kills your tank because it got the idea that it should attack an enemy BrandenBurg on the far side. Oh, and then half your army decides to run away. Point is, there are massive OMFG moments in this game. 5/5

Absolutely genius. The one who came up with this concept rivals Einstein in his understanding of time.

This game is beautiful. The philosophical value of this game is unparalleled, it should be taught in every public school in the world. The symbolism may go over the heads of some people, but if you really think about it...again, this game is epic. 5/5

4/5 I don't really see it as being THAT great a game, it gets repetitive quickly, but it's still entertaining and has a well done combat system.
