Game does not do a good job of teaching what the rules are as far as what possible moves the worm can make. In that regard, it's not a very friendly puzzle game.
I went into the elevator at what I assume is the end of Chapter 2, and the screen went dark, with a row of grey blocks across the top and a single light fixture near the bottom of the screen. Controls wouldn't do anything, game didn't progress. Reloaded, same thing. ???
would be nice if nsimple's email explained the pipe a little more thoroughly...I couldn't quite work out how to pipe the results from the challenge and the math into the solve command, so I had to do some fast typing to beat the timer. After finishing the game, I looked up someone else's solution, and that reawakened some long-forgotten unix memories of how to pipe. Still, overall, fantastic game!
This game is awful. Very little explanation about what's going on, runs slowly, terrible pacing - sometimes the enemy gets a huge artillery piece right from the beginning that just wrecks your guys. Units move and fire very slowly, so even when things are going well, it just doesn't feel like there's much going on.
Ultimately, the game comes down to how well you utilize heat vents. You can screw around with hiding heat in the reactor via platings, or in coolant cells, but those are just temporary solutions. Heat vent is pretty much the only way to get rid of heat altogether.
