So I played this game for 60minutes that felt like 10, and I managed to beat the final quests in the same run I'd finish the game (with only 1 point in stamina remaining to buy everything).
That was really awesome that the game was actually following my experience (if I went too much, new enemies would come, if I didn't it'd take more - so that the player can get used on how it is to play) and one of the few really fucking good looking tutorials in launch/running (also, nice mix) games.
There's a bug when I jump midair and reach some height between the cliff and the fall and instead of falling I just magically walk in the land as if I were in the same height (the head of the zombie was almost beneath the cliff) the only one that I noticed and it was a lifesaver few times.
5/5
Liked the fury mode, didn't like the lack of alternatate roads and didn't like the boss.
FF2 was better overall. Maybe getting the new things from this and putting there would be little bit better... Also I'd like to see more cars than just aliens ones (I know there were new, but they weren't much to me).
The story didn't please me much too, but that's way too personal (taste).
When selecting x10 or x100 the BUY button could tell you when you're able to able only 1x, 10x or 100x (or even better: says how many you're gonna buy with current money).
There is a bug that everytime I buy upgrades and they go to bottom and then I reset, I have to refresh the webpage so I can see all upgrades again.
Can I complain a little bit about the colors (specially 3, 4 and 5) being a little bit too annoying? Feels different from 10 game, maybe if they were less bright.
Thanks for the feedback Utiru! The colors may have changed a touch since I've changed computer screens between games. I'll look into that. Btw. if you'd like to play with the black theme from "10" you can - it's in the setting menu.
I get to world 2 and 3 with a lot of run health but if chosen seperately I can't even walk a bit, this is making it so annoying to get past World 3, specially with lags.
If you keep changing the weapon using the 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys you can have [almost] unlimited ammo since it somehow bugs the countdown (so the weapons won't lose ammo while shooting).
Also the hand grenade can go below the bar we're standing if you just shoot it 90º down, no other weapon does the same.
After a while, both the background image and background music are annoying, despite that, I just wish I could type instead of clicking repeateadly, as stated by JinoSilverflamE.
5/5.
You have to build a strategy to get to the top (by doing diagonal drillholes), that's understandable, but the control of the character seems kinda odd, specially the drop of fps.
Maybe a solution for the target is giving us the option to choose which target each tower should aim for: if I want one specific tower aim for the ones with gem, this will be the priority (in case there are more than one enemies and just one with the gem) at the same time I can choose the one that is furthest to the gems, in case I don't want them to get any close (and I know there are more towers that will kill the ones that already passed/are low life).
Although I agree it's part of the challenge not being able to control, it could be an option.
I know it was designer for Ludum Dare and therefore there were no needs for further menu and stuff, but I'd recommend it to have a menu so we could actually see the credits, hear more music and pausing. Also about the check points, hapenned me once I was spawning really close to some enemies, so dying could mean to die like 3 times instantly until I get able to get out, which is frustrating.
I enjoyed this game a lot, it could be longer though.
I could complain about the pixelated graphs, but it actually made me like it better. Maybe more misc. on the scenario, a huge green bright color is sorta annoying after a while.
I beated all levels in every difficult, which was quite nice. I point out two sorta of bugs, when we have two towers colliding with eachother and moving (to the same direction) they gain a huge boost on speed, which is actually great, but still a bug. Also, throwing axe can kill two minions at one shot, if enough damage, when they're groups or spawns of the pink mother one. Dunno if intentional.
I would say the game is just the primary concept put on effort. You could use this concept and go pretty further. For example, specfic spots that friends can move through and/or enemies, like change of terrain. It would seem a bit more like other regular TDs, but would give more strategies and difficulties (as well as more bugs, since the enemies push the towers down). Some specific enemy could have a reflect/attack and friends being killable (and/or would revive after finishing the round) or even a way where there is no "NEXT" button, enemies keep coming as soon as last wave is finished. I'm actually running out of ideas, because most of them would actually turn this game more like other TDs, which isn't something I want, it's the differencial of this one.
I don't actually think this game isn't worth paying. It may not be THAT good, as every TD it makes me like it a lot but then gets too repetitive and it's easy for me to get tired of it. Although, it's not expensive at all. And there are several things I liked about it. If you do the math, it's less then $5,00 (since it's 50 kreds and for $10 you have 110 kreds). I don't think I regret spending my money but I'm not that excited about it as well. The only reason I paid is cause I do think the music are totally worth.
I think the game is great. The concept isn't pretty new but the game is fun and I liked a lot the graphs. Altough it seems pretty easy, I've managed to beat every achievment by just doing what I must, and chars could have differences between eachother as someone already replied about it here.
It could have more guns/more difficulties/more things just to have longer gameplay and harder stuff. The levels could be the same, but guns lowered or monsters enpowered.
Fav'd and 4/5, I just didn't give a 5/5 because of its easy difficulty. Oh, and the songs are pretty funky, but just as Zelda's, no matter how good they are, they'll get annoying after a while.
