The black cube at the end is glitched for me. I can't click it. I've played the game 3 times, trying different variations at the end with the fireflies and the timing of my clicking, but no luck. :( Even so, it was a good game.
I've released the expansion update. Unfortunately, Kongregate's file size limitations made a release here impossible. I'm sorry about this. I wish it wasn't the case. Anyway, I just thought I should let everyone know.
I've just uploaded a teaser for the expansion update to my YouTube channel. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=vF29AyAvQ3I) <--- Not sure if that link will get filtered or not, but if it does, then I guess just check my YouTube channel. :o
I'll always love this game. When I used to play it and I couldn't figure out how to beat a level, I would just start duplicating myself over and over and over again for the heck of it until there was just a massive lagging crowd of ME :D ...the memories!
I've read many comments on this game, whether it be here or all over YouTube. I've looked at the feedback, and after some brainstorming, I've decided to create a large expansion for it. Many people have said that "the story was lame", or have just said that it didn't really have a story. Although this game was, and in a way still is an experiment, and was never supposed to have an actual storyline, I've decided to create an unlockable mode that digs deeper into...well, the story. There have also been some people who didn't find Myrtle frightening, so to (hopefully) make up for that, this new mode will run through the game like normal, but continue with a new little plot where the game normally would have ended. I don't want to spoil anything, but this new extended mode will feature a brand new "stalker". Myrtle will now seem much more pleasant in comparison.
It gets to the point where I simply cannot see where I am onscreen, just because of the ridiculous amount of graphic elements flying around. That's essentially the only reason I keep dying over and over and over at the same point in the game. It gets really annoying. That, and how it starts you way back at the very beginning if you die. I think that's a little unnecessary. Aside from all that, this game is pretty fun.
This game suddenly gets unnecessarily difficult and annoying right at the end. The gold penalties for losing battles get too extreme, and things just become very tedious and frustrating. I ended up just getting pissed off. Nevertheless, I'll keep trying... Aside from that, I really like this game.
After reading some of the previous comments and playing through the game a second time, it really hits home for me. The kind of 'home-hitting' that makes your eyes water. Very deep and personal, so much more than just a flash game. 5/5
I've played a lot of funny games throughout my life, but I've never started laughing literally right when they started, like I did with this one. I love how basic and short it is, and how it immediately just throws you right into the cartoony action. The game is especially awesome if that cartoony action is hilarious. 5/5
Is it weird that every time I play this one I stand there ringing the bell for 5 minutes hoping someone or something will eventually get pissed and show up?
This game is fun and simple, and has quite the relaxed feeling to it. It doesn't require too much effort, so it's a nice change from the intensity and frustration of most other games. This seems like one of those games that you could play to kill a little time, but then you realize you've been playing it for well over an hour. Nicely done, I like it!
My life has concluded, I departed with "I love you" ...*sniff* :'( ...lol, how the heck did this game make me so sad? This touching piano solo playing while I stare at my grave certainly isn't helping. *_* REFRESH!
ALICE: I've never thought about it.
Me: Me neither
ALICE: You can say that again.
Me: Me Neither
ALICE: You can say that again.
Me: Me neither
ALICE: You can say that again.
Me: Me neither
ALICE: You can say that again.
...I don't think we're getting anywhere with this...
I'm really sorry, guys. I've tried the game on 2 computers, in Internet Explorer and Firefox, and it's still working for me. I've had nothing but problems with this freaking upload, though, and apparently they're not all gone. I have no idea why the game isn't loading, but I'm trying to figure it out as fast as I can. Again, I'm sorry about this. Please bear with me.
Update on the update: This would have been out 2 days ago, were it not for the problems with the "upload new version" system. Kong breaks the formatting and even the controls in the game when I try to update it. I've contacted them regarding this issue, and I'm waiting for a response. Sorry, guys, this is taking quite a bit longer than expected. I promise you I'm working on getting this update out, so please bear with me.
this is one of the nicest comments I have ever received :) Thank you very much
